Any idea when I'm going to get server/forum functionality back? I need to update several of the classes (most importantly SE's class, which runs out of titles very soon.)

I really don't like the way user permissions work on this new server. It makes things very complicated. I'll see what I can do, though.

Hey Tage, I was just noticing that Urchin is doing the same thing on TWG that it does on my site. Is it a problem with the new server?

As mentioned elsewhere, Urchin no workie. By the way, I need to talk to you about your blog posting thing. You'll notice it asks for a login now.

I stand corrected. Urchin just hadn't been set up correctly. I think it works again.

Hey Tage, what'll it take to get me a TWG email address? I feel this would be good when dealing with publishers.

If you just want an alias, tell me what you want the alias to be and where it should forward to. If you want an actual POP account you'll have to give me a username and password for it. I'd suggest emailing those instead of posting them here. :)

I've been thinking about getting a TWG email account as well, but I've been putting it off cause I'm too darn lazy. How is the stability of our server looking anyway? Do we see it moving at all in the semi-near future or anything of the sort?

The stability is the same as it's always been. I have no plans to move it, unless I change jobs.

hey Tage. I need to check my email, but my computer doesn't get Internet right now. I was using my laptop, but it crapped out on me. Is there another way I can read my mail?

Humm...I think I might have a way of creating a hotmail style e-mail checker for pop3 accouts, though it would be a very no-frills kinda thing (ie view and reply only, no way to save or delete).

on zyx actually, we found an app to do full email service online, which is why I'm seeing/responding to mail that comes to me on other accounts. I'm not suggesting Tage go through all that work though. If he's not too worried about having a shell account with no access to other folders, I'm happy using Pine.

he could also set it up to forward your TWG e-mail to one of your other ones since you can see those.

Wow, I'd forgotten I was still using the old version. Try it again. Actually, that goes for all you guys who use this server for email.

I'll try it again, but now that I ran cable through out the width, heigth, and breadth of this house, I have connectoin from my desktop. Email should work again.

ok, I don't know if there's anything you can do about this, but there's something funky with the "recent posts" link. There are posts (it changes which thread) that it's dropping from the list). Most recently I noticed that the Willy Wonka thread dropped from the list, even when it's the most recent thread posted to.

I've never seen that behavior, but I doubt I could do anything about it anyway.

hrm... I thought that's what I was using. I'll have to troubleshoot.
