Finished the most recent Dexter novel.  This series has gone down-hill.  Stick with show.  It has surpassed the novels.

Dang, that's not something you hear very often! But I must say, I am loving the show, so no complaints here.

D.Gray-Man wasn't an anime when I started reading the manga. I prefer to keep it that way in my head.

Same here. Although, I have to admit, Allen has the cutest japanese voice I've ever heard. :)

So is Vampire Knight.

You finished the page? Wow!

Oh, oh! I finished a page, too! Because on the second page you find out all you have to be is a high-school astronomy teacher, then NASA will want you, because you know a lot about stars!

Your review site has made me realize something: I am a girl reader and you are boy readers.  That isn't completely accurate because I know there are a lot of girls who read the books you review, but apparently, for the most part, I am not one of them. This makes me a little sad, strangely.

Haha! Yeah, I guess I must be a girl reader that reads like a boy. :) Doesn't surprise me though, I can't tell you how many times people have called me "sir", or about the little boy that asked me if I'm really a girl. The thing is, I and no one I know can't figure out why this keeps happening to me, cause trust me, I do NOT look like a guy.

My taste in books, though, I blame my big brothers. That's what you get for letting a ten year old watch Blade.

Thanks for the welcome Frog and Silk!

And yay for girl power! That, and I'm probably even more frightened to submit something after your comment Frog...

Hi guys! (including girls!)

My names Shannon, though feel free to call me Shi, cause it's, like, four letters shorter and a lot faster to write. I've been a here and there poster on Timewaster, where I've managed to waste much time, for a couple of years. When you guys started up Reading Excuses I was horribly afraid, and terribly intrigued. So I've decided to try and get over my fear and join up :)

I'm a 20 year old aspiring illustrator/author. I've been spending the last few weeks smiling on the outside and screaming on the inside as I try to put together a portfolio to get into art school and figure out how to pay for it if I actually do.

I've loved coming up with stories for as long as I can remember. When I was little I would make thing up with my sister (she did all the actual writing, I hated stuff like that), and I would help draw the stick people. When I was got older I dabbled a little in writing, but never got past page 6 of any story. It was about three years ago that I decided to really sit down and write something, and I fell in love with it unconditionally. I've managed to write one book, a MG fantasy adventure that as much as I want to love, has every cliche known to boy-kind, and also a short story, along with many a first chapters.

I write fantasy, though the flavor depends on the week. I'm very fickle, you see. Epic, dark, punk, sci-fi flare, or lighthearted, it's usually the polar opposite in tone from whatever I had just written previously. At the moment I have some stewing novels, and a quirky short story about an Atheist that dies and is sent back as an angel to save souls, but he really sucks at it. That whole faith thing keeps screwing him up.

Anyways, I'm excited to jump in!

Reading Whitechapels Gods by S. M. Peters and it is fantastic! I'm on a steampunk kick right now. I blame Tor.

Bookstore Guy-- I agree, the last few Dresden books have been great. Though I grow more worried the farther I get to the dreaded book 11. Lucky for me I've been getting them from my library :)
