Ooooh.  Even more reason now to finally go and read Asimov's robot series (which I've been planning to do for the last decade)...

I don't see how the transformers movie could be out next year.  I Robot is starting Will Smith as the dectitive and the guy who did Gollum as the Robot (which is all CGI)
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

I knew about the I Robot movie (which, oddly, doesn't seem like it's based off of I Robot at all, but the sequel.  Oh well.)  .  Hopefully, it doesn't flop as hard-core as Bicentennial Man.  Making a CGI robot seems to be a step in the wrong direction.  There doesn't seem to be any reason for it--the later robot books all had robots that were androids, virtually indistinguishable from humans.  Maybe it's based on one of the short stories actually from I Robot after all.

Alright!

Maybe we'll finally get to see Robot Jox 2!

I've been waiting forever for that film.

What is Robot Jox? I've never heard of the movie.

wow Robot Jox!  It was an easly 90's movie that wasn't horrible (I can't remeber how bad it was, just at the time i liked it).  The premise was two robot polits duke it out.  Robot Jox 2 was a direct to video release that was horrible.

Uh.. Spriggan, it *was* horrible. I'd even move to put that reference into the "worst movie" thread. The pilot suits were made out of old stereo components. There was no plot, and very little made sense.

Which uh... means I watched it....

Holy cow!

They actually DID make a sequel to Robot Jox?  Wow, that thought hurts more than just a little.

More's the pity...
