I don't believe they suck, merely an inferior brand. Among my group of computer using friends, several six year lasting seagates are there, while the lonest lasting maxtor is three and a bit years. Just my personal experiences show Seagate to be a superior brand.

count me as one of your friends. As I said, my maxtor is as old as that seagate and it's the only computer component I own that has never, ever given me a single grief.

My psp arrived.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

I didn't lose much. Mostly just junk that I need to get toss anyways. I lost a couple of text books, some envelopes, and all the Christmas presents I was going to give e. So nothing really important.

But mostly it was just RPG manuals and comics and a new computer plus video games and action figures, and we know he wouldn't really want those anyways. I'm sure those things are much better off in the trash.

I'm happy because on Monday I will have my very own local phone access and my very own internet access again...albeit dialup.

That's if all the pertinent technology functions correctly (phone cords, modems, the dorks at Qwest and Juno, etc.), which is a big if.

I think we should squash the dorks at Qwest and Juno. I am in a squashing of dorks mood.

You ever have one of those days where you're in a good mood and you just don't know why? That's me today. Things are good. Dunno why, they just are.

Though--I think a lot of it is just that I really love my job. Got a proposal for a very exciting project this morning that I might be able to do. Who knows. It might not work out. But it's a fun idea nonetheless.

I'm happy because Winamp and Eudora have announced that Unicode support is forthcoming.
