This is Correct. I went on a Quest with fRR to see if we could find them, and find them we did. We bought two copies, and I must say, the WAY OF KINGS preview in the back is EPIC. But I digress.

The Paperback is gorgeous. The cover by Dan Dos Santos translates wonderfully to the glossy cover of the paperback edition, and while I do wish the spine (and the back) weren't RED/ORANGE, it's a great book, and I'm glad I picked it up.

An ARC, or Advanced Reader Copy (usually pronounced "ark") is a book that is sent out to people to review the book before it's actually released.  They are usually paperback versions of the novel, though not as nicely bound as the official paperback, and usually state on the cover something along the lines of "not the final version of the book, changes may be made".

Mind, if the answer is already widely known, then yes, answer, but please don't make posts about your feelings, be they being upset because someone told you you were wrong, or calling each other out. While there is a time and place for that, this isn't it. This thread is supposed to be strictly for questions.
