Okay....
Wow, the stuff you miss while you're asleap. (You sure you're all okay? I thought I saw some body parts flying in there...)
Anyway, I started this thread because I like to plumb it for things to review for the Tower of Cheapness, and because I like seeing what people find on the internet. So, we'll try again. If you happen to find an interesting link--not nessissarily something you want to plug, just something amusing or of particular note--feel free to post it here.
-
Here's cool link you can all look at: www.seanbaby.com
the guy swears like a sailor, but he sure is funny. The site is basically a bunch of random essays on nintendo, the Justice League of America, and stupid world news. My personal favorites are the Exciting Kick to the Groin Adventures. You'll just have to read it to find out--it's too weird to explain.

Virtual Nose Hair Pulling Game
http://www.nobodyhere.com/justme/nose.html
Creepy, yet fun. Just the way we like it.
Jeff/Jordon- maybe your games can be like this ;)
(thought I'd post to both boards to make everyone happy...)
-
Playing that game makes my eyes water.
-
That has to be one of the more disgusting things I've seen.
-
*dramatic sigh*
Well I suppose I could have started a topic for "Weird and disgusting things found on the Internet" ...
-
Nah, it belonged here. That doesn't mean it wasn't disturbing, however...
-
http://WWW.STICKDEATH.COM/frameset.htm
Here's one for you guys. You need flash on your machine though.
-
http://www.rx.sakura.ne.jp/~pyonn/9/ga.htm
You all might get a kick out of this, once you figure out what it is.
-
Oh...dear...
That has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
-
oh, those have to be some of the cutest pictures of those guys that I've ever seen!
-
lol. I wonder what Elijah and the group would say about that--that they look cuter as anime characters than they do in real life.
-
Geese only the Japanese would name this picturehttp://www.rx.sakura.ne.jp/~pyonn/9/pa/i-boropa01.htm "With Father".
-
You know, at first I thought a manga LotR would be amusing. But after that pick Spriggan posted, it really freaks me out. It just ... doesn't work.
-
Ok, this one's just killing me. I'm sure it has something to do with the slope of the line, but it still doesn't make any sense. Maybe 42 can figure something out, he's the visual one.
http://lsulaw.com/triangles.htm
-
Ok, if you're here reading this site, you need to take this test:
http://test.thespark.com/lazytest/
Wow, I'm on a roll today.
-
Ok - It was buggin the crap out of me so I figured it out -- referring to the triangle thing.
Since I don't have pictures, I will refer to individual shapes by their colors, the top composite as A and the bottom as B.
The total area of both A and B is the same: 32 units. The problem is that the pictures are an optical illusion (with the aid of thick lines.)
The slope of the green triangle is .4 and the slope of the red is .375. Therefore, while it looks like the hypotenuese of the composite is one straight line, it is actually two straight lines, angling slightly in the middle. You can tell because the added length of the hypoteneuse of green and red equals 14.045, while the length of the hypoteneuse of a 5x13 triangle should be 13.928.
Composite A bows slightly in - the red triangle has less of a slope than the green.
Composite B bows slightly out. This bow (along with the excessively thick lines) give the composite enough extra room to shove that "hole" in.
If none of that stuff made sense, just remember that the composites are not true triangles - and that A and B are not exactly the same shape. (though they look like it.)
IB Trigonometry finally pays off!
-
Thanks! It's nice to know they're just screwing with our heads.
BTW- I'm 44% lazy
-
I'm exactly 50% - a happy medium.
-
48% lazy. That's embarrasingly low.
-
8)Ahhhhh you amatures I'm 90% lazy 8)
-
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Cat Burger
-
Man. You guys are going to love this. I got a whopping 4% lazy.
That's right, 4%.
-
I'm a 92! :o
-
I don't think we can be friends anymore EUOL.
-
Hmm, 14%, that sounds about right. I just can't believe that EUOL got a 4%.
-
Wow, I got a 4% as well. It's probably because I work so hard at being lazy that it has become work for me. So just what's wrong with the rest of you?
-
Yeah. It takes real effort to waste time this effectively. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for wasteing good potentially wasted time.
-
*squeals like an anime girl*
It's Beaker!
-
For all the big egos out there. Make sure the sound is on so you can hear the music.
http://www.cscentral.com/you.rule
-
That site could be used for great evil. ;D ;D
-
That's just what 42 and EUOL needed to hear ;D
-
Hum. I clicked on the site, and it was very sad, because it started making fun of Beaker. (At first I wondered who it could be talking to, since it obviously wasn't refering to me. Then I realized it must have been talking about my bird. It might be right, but that still isn't very nice.)
-
I think Beaker has eaten EUOL and has now taken his spot on the message board.

I posted this over at AORP this morning, too, but thought I'd cross-post to be sure. This was emailed to my company as a press release. I thought you'd all find it immensely amusing.

“Gothic against terror”
On the basis of the bad force file of the Satanic - Pair of Ruda and the Erfurter amuck, I have established the campaign “Gothics against terror”. So far, it is present in the internet exclusively under http://www.gothic-against-terror.com. The fatal defamation of the Gothik-scene and also the consequently concerned people, is allowed to and can be tolerated no more longer. The base picture of our society, incorrect, immediately should become corrected before it assumes serious social sizes. The coverage of the media is based exclusively on Unknown, claims and bad, slanderous Talkabout.Die Gothik - movement has nothing, but also not the lowest with the dreadful satanics mean! Satanics are not to be identified through their optics, that something marks them its the single belief alone. Sound investigations prove that they avoid even all sensation strictly.
Exclusively the media world possesses the Possebility, our society the real facts, to mediate over the Gothik's. Fact is, Gothiks express their personal life attitude like every other grouping. Unfortunately, the people immediately associate the evil and the death with this admittedly very bizzaren style. This grouping gives serious thought only very critically to topic to the taboo
death on that occasion. They accept it as an obvious component of the human existence. The society cannot understand that black lets also beautiful things bandaged with the color. As for example melancholy, romanticism, protection and security. their interests are directed at the lyric, the Middle ages, old graveyards, vampire stories, that of Mytologie as well as various occult Themes. Occult is on no account with the evil, however, to equate. It is the fascination of the fear, miraculous phenomenons and white magic. It happens from pure interest and on no account in the intent, to practice angry rituals. they embody a peaceful way of life, extend rather back and occupy itself with their thoughts and the sense of the life.
Through the immense prejudices, they are met with very big refusal in the everyday life, partial is even made unbearable it them. Angry gazes, insults, to be served even the refusal. The fear that somebody from fear of the "supposedly satanic thought property “some dreadful one could commit, lies consequently very draws near. One can let do it so far come by no means.
It would be the modified media certainly more profitable not to revise reality. The topic Satanism can be wiped out to the suffices, delivers headlines. However, the Constitution of the human dignity should not be changed to this case by the freedom of the press.

hmmm
i do this work alone...and i guess theres no need to hire a editor. it was a single action.
i know that is a shaky piece (made by power translator pro)
okay stacer...so just try to translate a text into german..with power translator..and no help..
whos laughing now?
-
I'm always impressed by what translator programs are able to pull off--no matter how eloquent the original piece, they turn it into laughable (but usually intelligible) English. It's a question I've always wondered about Star Trek--when they use the universal translators, does it make them sound like backwater hicks to whatever new race they've just encountered? When aliens come to Earth and try to communicate, will they all talk like hillbillies?
-
Lol. I can only think what my Korean must sound like...
-
http://www.actsofgord.com/
I can't remember if this has been posted at some point in the past, but it's very amusing.
-
As someone at work once said, "I'm so glad I'm not that stupid."
-
This is great stuff. And i have to say that I love the-
"And do not, I repeat, do not say "if she is really into the hardcore anime scene, I can get import DVD's from Japan and Hong Kong" when I'm talking to a 14 year old girl's mother."
-
It's DJ-ing music fun! It's cruelty to cute furry animals!
What is it?
http://www.yomgaille.com/bordel/kittens/
-
I was looking through old posts on this thread catching up and I ran across the triangle problem. It didn't bother me. I don't really see what the problem is. The shapes are in different spots so the conglomerate shape looks different. What's weird about that?
I liked the Gord page though Tage. That was cool.
-
The weird part, Prometheus, is the area. Putting the shapes in different spots does not change the total area of the four shapes. It's not a matter of the conglomerate shape looking different, it's a matter of there suddenly being a hole in the middle of it that should not, technically, be there. Moving shapes around does not change their area.
(Well, unless you cheat, like this guy did, and hide it with thick lines.)
-
Okay, that kitty thing was really strange. I expected them to at least meow...
-
*bows*
My job here is done.
-
I wanna go to school here...
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/06/13/earlyshow/contributors/tracysmith/main512169.shtml
-
Yeah. It would be cool if all video games could be more active. Oh, for a holodeck...
-
think of wht you could do with one of those...
-
Well there was one in the Nickelcade, so I don't have to imagine - I know. It's fun and I can easily see myself spending hours on it. I wish we could've had something like that when I went to high school.
-
You know, maybe I could talk Fellfrosch and EUOL into spending one of our weekly workout days on DDR at the nickelcade. Man, that'd be WAY better than lunges...
-
Yeah, but even at a nickle a pop, 45 minutes of cardio would probably end up costing us a pretty penny.
Besides, can you imagine me playing DDR? Boy, that's a laughable image.
-
I have the game for Playstation and a dance pad here at home. So I play for FREE and it's FUN.
And when I told you all at TLE that I had it you made fun of me. Traitors.
-
DDR huh, those games are huge in asia. i knew people that would spend a whole paycheck on just that game.
-
My boyfriend being one of those people...
-
We made fun of you because that is what we do, not because of any real knowledge and/or conviction. I've actually never played DDR, or even seen it played (except through news clips.)
If they wanted me to play, all they would have to do was make it more than just little dance moves--make it so when you wave your hand, you fire a missile at the other player. Now that would be a dance 'revolution.'
-
Yeah, Jordo you probably didn't get to do a lot of BEMANI while you were in Japan...
As rhythm games go, DDR is the most fun. Second is Samba de Amigo, where you shake maracas around in rhythm to the music. That's fun.
-
oddly enough i'm actually getting a dance mat and playstation in a few days time
-
Okay, I just found out I broke the law - and can laugh at how stupid that law was.
http://www2.dumblaws.com/states/index.html
"Provo: Throwing snowballs will result in a $50 fine."
Shoot, anyone has some spare change they can offer me?
-
Wow, Utah has some real winners...
However, after browsing some of the other states, I'm rather excited to go to California and shoot at whales while speeding down the freeway. It's perfectly legal, you know.
-
some ...er... funny pics of the web
::)

http://www.jono.spain.com/honesty-on-internet.jpg This picture just shows how honest most people are when it comes to the internet!

I take no responsibility for the preceding pictures
-
from Chico, california :
Detonating a nuclear device within the city limits results in a $500 fine.
damn! there goes that idea then :(
Pasadena, also california :
It is illegal for a secretary to be alone in a room with her boss.
what the...?
san fransisco :
Persons classified as "ugly" may not walk down any street.
nice...
and finally san diego :
It is illegal to shoot jackrabbits from the back of a streetcar.
i really, really want to know the circcumstances behind the creation of this law...
-
lol
the secretary one is the funniest ;D
-
But it's okay for the secretary to be in the room with the boss if both are male? Hum...this is San Fransisco, after all...
-
in nebraska you cannot park youre horse on main street, spitting on the sidewalk is a $50 fine and it's legal to carry any type of weapon as long as it is not conceled.
-
and it's legal to carry any type of weapon as long as it is not conceled.
i thought that that was standard practice throughout the US?
-
Actually, I was under that impression as well. Maybe I don't know my own laws very well. (After all, I've never tried carrying an automatic weapon down the street--concealed or otherwise.)
-
More fun for the workplace...
http://oxymoronlist.com/
-
I don't know about some of those. They seem pretty...well, silly to list as Oxymorons. Like 'Living Dead.' Well, duh. When I think of an Oxymoron, I think of a clever juxtoposition of words that--when you think about them--are actually opposites. Things like 'living Dead' don't cut it for me. Neither do 'ha ha' droll ones like Government Organization.
-
how about: stable windows, ontime trains, free money?
-
first person I thought of was Brandon
Picture at the very top.
http://www.somethingawful.com/article.php?id=358-7
-
Brandon was the first person I thought of when I found this poem by Samuel Coleridge:
http://unix.cc.wmich.edu/~cooneys/poems/bad/Coleridge.ass.html
Just kidding. It's a pretty terrible poem, though - what's up with that? I thought that Coleridge was "da bomb" or something til I read this piece of garbage. Ugh.
-
Hard to believe that this is real
http://www.msnbc.com/news/781750.asp?pne=msn
-
Yah, I heard them talking about that on the radio. People are so wierd.
-
I remember reading about that 'flower' in a book on weird plants when I was in 4th grade.
Why is it hard to believe- any more so than a pitcher plant or any of the carnivorous ones?
-
it looks kinda fake for one thing, but the fact that it grows 6 inches a day! and can grow up 12 feet.
-
two sites that simply kill me : both are pretty heavy on the christian bashing, but if you arent easily offended take a look.
http://www.stardestroyer.net/Creationism/Arguments/index.shtml
http://www.smeed.org/2544
-
http://www.positiveatheism.org
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/
again, good sites. check out just what is really in the bible at the second site...
-
I'm probaly the least bible scolary of the church going people on this site and even I find a lot of things in the skeptics bible to be very wrong. i was looking through the book of mathew and the list of contradictions, and i couldn see what he thought was a contradiction. though the absurties are funny.
-
i have to admit that his list of contraditiions seems to be based on some wierd criteria. i think that it refers to a contradiction against the normal view of god. ie. kind, caring etc etc.
-
http://james.jlcarroll.net/Star_Trek/Klingon_BoM/
Oh, dear.
-
I'm going to have to second that "oh dear"
-
:o I can't decide whether that's funny or blasphemous.
-
find out what type of male anime character you'd be at:
http://www.artificial-soul.net/test/bishounen/index.html
here's me
(http://www.artificial-soul.net/test/bishounen/tragic.jpg)
if you're lucky you might get Kenshin
-
Hey, I got Kenshin.
-
How many times did you have to try?
Lol. I'm (no surprise) an intellectual. Too bad they didn't actually list characters--that would have been more interesting.
-
I'm a selfless hero. Not in the test, necessarily, I'm just talking about real life.
-
I got selfless hero as well. I even tried monkeying around with the choices to get something different and it took me a while before I drew anything other than Kenshin.
-
(http://www.artificial-soul.net/test/bishounen/baka.jpg)
lol. that good? surprisingly enough, its kinda right i think. also, when none of my answers were remotely violent, why did i get a guy holding a sword?
-
Ha. That one's hilarious.
And, is that supposed to be a sword? Looks kind of like a fan to me.
-
TASUKI!!! *drool...
Yea, that's a fan, but it's cool cause it shoots flames out of it.
BTW, Tage, that's where Rekka's name comes from. He says something like "rekka shinen" to make flames.
-
Yeah, I'd heard that her name was a special move from Fushigi Yuugi, but I didn't know it was from a femmy guy with a fan. :)
-
http://www.tolkiencollector.com/bbaggins.mov
Yah! At least it isn't William Shatner...
-
:o
That's who sings that song?!! I've had that for years, somehow I never would have thought Leonard Nemoy sung it.
That whole song seemed odd before, but now that I've seen the music video, it's just plain freaky.
-
That was very scary. I want to know what was happening behind the hill when the clothes start flying? Then again maybe not.
-
Spriggan showed me this site. It's very cool though it does require a high bandwidth.
http://www.gorillaz.com/
-
i just spotted this at the bottom of the google site :
Searching 2,469,940,685 web pages
eep!
-
and that isn't all webpages, just those submitted to google! :o
-
True that.
-
here's one for our UK pals: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=35506 Downing street fighter.
-
That's a cool game. My only complaint is all the porn ads on the site itself. Just what were you looking for that brought you to that site, Sprig?
-
Thats a flash webgame site that I goto to see what people are makeing. ya I know about the pornads, the site keeps on saying that they are going to get rid of them in their main section (they have an adult flash game section). But as of yet havent.
-
http://www.guerrillanews.com/cocakarma/
its long, but rather fascinating. im not sure of the truthfulness of it all. it looks real but....

something for spriggan :

For those members who live in Utah, or just want to find out more.
Here is a webpage about cool things in Utah:

And a webpage about why Utah sucks:

Both by the same guy. Some of the items are pretty stupid, but others are interesting.

Holy Cow. That Dancing Bubs game is the funniest thing I've seen in possibly my entire life.
-
Well prepeare to laugh even more
http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail.html
then choose either sisters or action figure they are probaly the two funniest.
-
yeah, I love that action figure one.
-
I think it's hilarious, although I don't understand it at all.
-
Found a pretty cool webcomic made by a couple of dutch people with some weird humor! But funny! Really!
Check it out: http://www.tribbel.nl

i found this and couldn't help but post it
http://www.kicken.com/funnyfiles/WackoJacko.swf

Wow, you guys don't use this nearly enough.
(five months of no posts? Than again, that's about how long it's been since I've posted.)
Here's something for all you scientific people to enjoy:
http://muppetlabs.com/~breadbox/txt/al.html
-
Well, on that note, I found this little piece of news highly amusing:
http://www.wkyc.com/news/news_fullstory.asp?id=3828
It's good to know we have our childhood heroes out defending freedom.
-
Yes, that one has been circulating (http://www.itswalky.com/shortpacked)
-
I have nothing to really add, just wanted the noteriety of being the 1000th person to view this topic.
-
Ok, if you're here reading this site, you need to take this test:
http://test.thespark.com/lazytest/
Wow, I'm on a roll today.
74% on the lazy bit. I havent even read the rest of the thread, but I had to post it before I was too lazy to remember. ;)
-
Actually I think the lazy test has been on here before. If not that one, at least something very similar. Fortunately I'm too lazy to look it up and find out.
-
heh. tage, that was a quote taken from this very thread. Do TRY to keep up, old boy.
oh, before i forget:
What 8-bit Theatre character are you? (http://www.members.optushome.com.au/ewa55/8bit/index.html) (i got BM!)
What Personality type are you? (http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp) (i got Crafter. I showed it to Spriggan about 6 months ago and he got Composer, believe it or not)
What High School Sterotype are you? (http://www.mutedfaith.com/quiz/q1.htm) (i got geek, to nobodies great surprise)
-
I took the Personality test, and I'm a Champion. You all wish you were Champions.
-
I got red mage ;D
-
I am...Fighter.
-
I am . . . exactly what I wanted to be by answering the questions in the obvious way that would get me what I wanted to be.
But it was fun answering for the BM!
-
I wasn't sure where to put this, but I figured here's as good as any place. Since I know that there are people at TWG who like Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (http://www.smbccomics.com), and a great many here who like M:tG (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/welcome), I thought that this (http://cp2.oktagone.com/~wiztoast/pictures/WizToastcard.jpg) would be particularly enjoyable.
This creature would go well in my 200 card, 3 color, enchantment/creature/life gain/weird card/can't-decide-on-a-solid-theme-but-this-seems-to-work-pretty-well deck. (but then, what WOULDN'T?)
-
wow Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal been a while sence I've heard about them on the forum. Looks like they've changed their format to a Far Side style.
-
Yes, quite some time ago. At first I was quite bothered by it, and I miss the lemur still. But he's still funny, so I continue to read.
-
I could see about doing a single paneler with him involved, if you'd like.
-the guy from smbc town
-
Wow, a prestigious guest. I can't say I'd be disappointed to see the lemur again.
-
Yay for lemurs! (note url for "herb's world" website in signature -- no the web site hasn't changed any, just pointing out my affinity for lemurs)
-
You all those warning signs with a stick-figure man getting killed or maimed by various objects (such as cranes and shopping carts and wet floors)? Do you ever wonder about who poses for those pictures?
http://www.capnwacky.com/warning/
-
Speaking of lemurs, do you know that the 'fact' the lemurs run off of cliffs was actualy a lie made by disney?
It's true http://66.165.133.65/index.html form our friends at Snopes.com
-
I thought that was lemmings?
-
You know, I always figured that the "Disney kills lemmings" part was the urban legend, not the other way around. You have to admit, the idea that a malicious documentary maker would dream up some wild story and then murder a bunch of rodents for no reason is pretty far fetched.
-
ack your right I don't know why I thought lemmings. :P But they do both start with Lem and end in s, so I guess they're kinda cliose ;D
-
I'm really sad to see that so many evil things about Disney were false. The sinister amusement park run by conspiratorial murderers is such a neat idea. Ah well, back to Scooby Doo for me...

-
Spriggan, heh. Ive known about that law for ages. Ive been to york once. Nice town. Its kinda like edinburgh, in that the city centre was built in 1600 and has only been partly added to since. Nobody shot me i am happy to report. Although there were several shops selling racks of swords - complete with sharp edge. If york was invaded by somebody, they could quite concievably get medieval on the invaders asses.
-
And this is wonder woman's stealth fighter

Notice the lazy use of photoshop, I got talent ;)

Not bad, oh father of the king, not bad.

do to the strange fixation my current gaming groups has with silly puddy you get this site. Goto the tricks section for some fun

Just so you don't get mad at me for tricking you into watching a dog humping a pikachu plush.
Warning: a dog humps a pikachu plush in this.

I have no freaking idea why I watched that...

Curiosity? ;D

Hah. No sillier than americans from the south - i gennuinely had trouble understanding what they said. I felt like asking for a translator when i was there.
-
I realize this was way back, but I took the personality test. I figured several people would be amused at the result.
http://keirsey.com/personality/ntij.html
Chillingly accurate.
-
Just as spriggan predicted when i first showed him that test...
-
I don't remember doing this, so I did it again and came out with Guardian. How did you get the specific type you were, though?
-
I also was a guardian, and not a specific one. :'(
-
It should tell you a 4 letter combination with a title. Follow this (http://www.tauniverse.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18377&highlight=personality+test) link to find out the meaning... its a forum thread where i found the test, and it links to all the meanings.
-

Blades UK (http://www.blades-uk.com/?ad=8)
On this site, they sell everything from Halerds, to 3 headed flails, to nasty little 1 inch knives, to swords from lord of the rings, blade, dracula and more, to claymores and battle axes...
Lovely. Lovely.
Damn cheap too. $80 for a claymore? For a huge two handed sword...

Just because...

Uhm.. ok. Thats rather cool 42.
But are penguins supposed to sound like hollow rubber balls when poked? I mean, actually, could you use them to hold beer?

Feel like you could use a little brilliant satire in your day? Well I've got just the thing for you!
http://www.blackpeopleloveus.com/
-
That website is simultaneously the funniest, most provocative, and most intelligent treatment of racial relations I have ever seen. The site itself is just the primer--the real meat is in the pages of letters. Absolutely incredible.
-
I like how it continues to post AFTER the penguin has er.. done his thing (to avoid spoilers)
Tage, I showed that site to my black co-worker to show how supportive I was of his different racial status. He felt touched and only beat me up twice that day.

Well, since we don't have a "Horribly frightening and messed-up stuff found on the internet" category, I'll post this here.
http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0046/0046_01.asp
Yes, this is a "Chick Tract." I probably shouldn't even read these, but for some reason their horrible mixture of ignorance, stupidity, and hate intrigues me. Kind of like looking at a car wreck, I suppose.
-
Hah. THat comic is ancient, a commentary on religious groups views of roleplaying. And it is written by a guy, but im not sure what a 'chick tract' is...
-
"Chick" refers to Jack T. Chick, the author of the tract. He has a whole website of them, and is actually somewhat well-known.
Scott Kurtz, of PVP, did a nice little rant on Chick.
http://www.pvponline.com/rants_jesus.php3
-
Note that among the less vindictive yet still very faithful Christians, chick isn't necessarily very compelling. My born-again co-worker and I endlessly bash him, especially since our mail tends to include at least one every couple weeks. My biggest complaint is that he needs a good artist. Oh, that and perhaps a spiritual dimension to his bigotry. My co-worker agrees.
And on that note, I received 2 pounds of JW tracts in the mail today. Yes, that's a lot. Funny thing is, I actually learned a couple things. Then I threw them all away. Their concept of eternal reward fails to appeal to me in any way, and their unique vocabulary and term usage seems designed to be contradictory (to all other Christians).

You guys are going to love this.
The Geek Test (http://www.innergeek.us/geek.html)
I got "14.20118% - Geekish Tendencies" - the lowest rank. I feel proud.
The highest ever score was "001--Arridian: Geek God, 69.82249%"
Oh, a couple other tests -
How Pikey are you? (http://www.skinflowers.org/fileupload/uploads/pikey_test.xls) (warning - you might not understand a lot of questions, its british orientated).

"I have gamed for 12+ hours straight." Heh, I forced several others into a 27 hour marathon...
"I have read: Douglas Adams, Piers Anthony, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Stephen Hawking, Robert Heinlein, Robert Jordan, H.P. Lovecraft, Anne McCaffrey, Jrr Tolkien" er.. yes, all the above... in facte all but 3 of the items in that section...
And the best "I want to score well on this test"
I was disappointed that there was an entry for I have 2+ dictionaries but not 2+ dictionaries in each of 2+ languages (the number for the first for me is at least 2, in each of 4 languages...)
I got 57.00197% - Extreme Geek. Which is third from the top, barring only "Geek God" and "Dysfunctional Geek." If only I knew more than HTML, Perl, and some crappy scripting languages, or at least my Geek Code, then I'd be a Geek God.
-
Saint, the highest in my star wars clan was 40%.
In a star wars clan.
Ok, so 2 people got that, and one of them was a woman who doesn't know anything about computers at all, but there you go.

54.24063% - Super Geek
Not as high as I would have hoped, being the editor and all. I really took a hit on some of the science stuff, and I obviously don't have enough collections.

Oh. And i'm still the geekiest.

27.21893% - Total Geek
I am actually surprised by how high that is.

How EUOL can take over the world
http://www.ubergeek.tv/switchlinux/
-
Heh. No, far too tekie for me. That seems more SE's path to taking over the world. I'm more the "Sit in my lair while my undead hoards run amuck" type.
-
SE really doesn't give enough thought to linux to take over the world using it. To be honest, if I were to be an OS proselyter, I know my rebellious streak enough to know that I'd have to use a "pure" unix rather than Linux.

Wow. I could probably listen to that all day. But then, that may be partially due to the lack of sleep over the past few days.

Now this is something cool. It's an AI script that plays 20 questions with you. I've only gone through it once, but it got "orange." Check it out.
http://y.20q.net:8095/btest

Now if only you can take that web-site with you on road trips.
I've played five times, it's gotten it every time except once. It couldn't get auqaduct, but it came close.
-
I tried it with "book", it got "Day planner".
Maybe that says something about how i use books...
-
It got window, but only after 25 guesses.
-
it got mountain after 17
-
I tried "dice," but I answered all the questions from a roleplaying perspective. In addition to the normal stuff like being used for games, I said that dice can be used to obtain information and accomplish tasks, and I said that they can be found in an office (because I have several sitting here with me). The poor program didn't know what to do with itself, and gave me crazy answers like "a phone card" and "A CD-Rom."

Free chess Online you can play head to head. my moniker is BenReilly if you want to challenge me (I usually start out really strong and then let my ADD kick in and don't even notice when you start taking power pieces). You have up to three days to make a move, so it's not something you have to have lots of time for. You can just play every now and then. And you can play several games at once.

"Not surprised. How would you like it if someone told you that some berk you do not know was using your dead mother for the main character of a mutant comicbook? Some people need to learn respect for others, and to stop regarding other peoples losses as something to cash in on. "
It came from the princess Diana being in a comic book argument. THe website gave...

Chick Tract (http://www.humpin.org/mst3kdd/)
Heh, you remember that comic that EUOL linked to, the wierdo one about D&D written by some christian named "chick"? Well, read the link above. Its a funny analysis of that comic. Although it starts out with a bizarre Vampire bash.
-
heh. Even acknowledging that guy exists is giving him FAR too much credit. He empitimizes the bigotted unloving idea of Christianity that too many people have. He's entirely irrational and self-contradictory. For example, I received one by mail recently (they send them to us here at work ALL THE TIME) that claims Allah is a pagan god even my Islam's standards. Apparently, Jack Chick thinks that the whole world will just bend their knees and kiss your feet if you're a jerk and tell them they and their ancestors have been making the world's stupidest mistake for several centuries, especially if you pretend to show evidence but don't say anything that actually makes sense.
Gee, can you tell how I feel about this guy?
-
Ok, maybe some of you have seen/played this. But I *just* discovered Button Men. The buttons aren't free, but you can play online free at http://www.buttonmen.com
It's a lot of fun. Green Knight sent me their expansion (4 sets, in fact) called Buttonlords featuring Arthurian characters. Each button has a different amount of dice of varying sizes. You then try to capture each other's dice for points. I convinced a coworker to play with me, and it's fun.
My username at buttonmen.com is thelemur, incidentally, if you want to challenge me. They have a full set of rules there, so you can learn how to play.

This site is mostly a gallery of cartoon "babes" (if you like cartoons, I guess...), but the real reason I'm posting it is the web design. It's nothing especially difficult, no flash or anything, but it's unbelievably clever and very well done. Make sure to check out each section, as they all have their own style.

It has only been in the last few weeks that my kids have even learned that the mouse has ANY effect whatsoever on what happens on the screen. They have no idea how to control it or what things do. I'm safe for quite a while.
Oh, and Anglegrinder Man looks gay.
-
Really? My friend's son is 2 and can change the display settings. He's also been known to start to set up a Warcraft III internet game. Because of that his parents now log out of XP Prof. everytime they aren't using the computer, and he has figured out that you are supposed to click on an icon and type something.
He's actually quite scary to watch.
-
You want some crazy stuff? Well try this. My Computer Programming teacher's baby boy, who is probably about a year old, can play counterstrike. And is reather good at it too.
-
Okay, that's really freaky too.
What is Counterstrike about? Is it a first-person shooter?
-
Yeah, in a terrorist/counter-terrorist scenario.
YOu should know that if my wife doesn't let them watch Disney's Robin Hood she doesn't let them near UT, right? Yeah, my kids will grow up with no computer skills that will help them.
-
UT=Utah?
You need to buy interactive, non-violent games like "Color with Mickey" or something comparable.
-
UT=Unreal Tournament It's the first person shooter (FPS) that Counter Strike (CS) is built around.
-
You are funny Spriggan. I do not know weather to laugh, or laugh harder. CS is not based on UT. CS is based on Half-Life. UT does have a mod that is similar to CS, I forget what the name is. Urban Terror, thats the name!
-
Good god Spriggan. Do you know nothing?
HL (Half Life) is the FPS that CS is a mod for.
UT is a game that came out 2 years later...
Gemm, Urban Terror is the Q3 (quake 3) mod. Can't remember the name of the UT one.
-
I am looking that up now.
Tactical Ops. Thats what it was. I really like that one. It was a lot funner than CS. It became an actual product.
-
Both CS and Day of Defeat (WW2 mod) got retail releases...
-
My 2-year-old knows has been known to change all kinds of settings on the computer, using both mouse and keyboard, but the only thing she actually knows how to do on purpose is instant messaging. -
Does she reveal zen like insights into the mysteries of the universe?
-
No, mostly she types:
/.////// .,/,,,,,,,
because she can reach those keys the easiest.
-
Do you ever find yourself succombing to the powers of cuteness?

I think Tage and his curly locks succumbed to the powers of cuteness long ago.

Answer a bunch of questions and it will tell you who your ideal presidential candidate is. It gave me a 100% score for George W., which surprised me quite a bit since I thought I was more liberal than that. 83% was Lieberman, for what that's worth. I scored 3% on the Natural Law candidate.

1. Bush, George W. - US President (100%) Click here for info
2. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (79%) Click here for info
3. Kucinich, Cong. Dennis, OH - Democrat (73%) Click here for info
-
I got 77% for Bush, and 100% for some dude from Ohio: Dennis Kucinich. Frighteningly, I got 85% for Lyndon LaRouche, but on the plus side I got 45% for Retired Army General Wesley K. "Wes" Clark--I have no idea who that is, but he has the coolest name on my list.
Of my 14 results I got 11 Democrats, 1 Republican (GW), 1 Libertarian, and 1 Consistution party guy. If GW can be that high on my list and yet still be the only Republican, either he's very liberal or there aren't many Republicans in the database.
-
He was the only republican in my results as well. I thought there was only 1 republican candidate (GW)?
-
The database only contains actual cadidates. Since it is assumed that George W. will run for re-election, no other Republicans are declared as candidates. John McCain is on the list, but he's now some wierd semi-Republican thing.
-
In addition to not including any Republican candidates, this test is pulling some pretty fishy moves. My wife marked the abortion question as highly in favor of Right to Life, and yet got a 100% match with Joe Lieberman--who by the test's own admission is highly in favor of Planned Parenthood.
-
There is only 1 test that i have ever done that i agreed with teh results for - its too hard to get it right i guess, since "one size fits all" is the philosphy you have to use. 3/4 the questions on that test i marked as "low interest" and 1/3 i put "undecided" so i guess that it gave me Bush by default.
-
Either that, or George W Bush has low interest in 3/4 of the issues and is undecided on the rest!
-
I removed a few posts here in an attempt to keep this thread on topic. Don't take it personally.

The cartoon isn't loading for me for some reason, I blame dial up ISP. Maybe it is loading, and it's just taking more time than I have patience for.

Threebrain is easily the most disturbing flash site I've ever seen. I have a coworker who checks it regularly, and he sends me all the psychotic things he finds. Definitely not for the faint of mental endurance.

It reminds me...
I was listening to NPR the other day and they reported a shooting West Hollywood between two drug dealers. They were both in the same little apartment in a crappy part of town at 4 in the morning when the fight started. When it was over they were both dead and at least 96 shots had been fired (they found 96 casings in the apartment). When the police questioned the neighbors (in the same building), they said they never heard a thing!

of course not, they were all stoned insensible

Dependent: Low
Obsessive-Compulsive: High
Really, I think most people would think I'm more Narcissistic than that.
-
Gosh darn it all to tarnation, not that test >:(
I found the link from a website which tages blog linked to. I got avoidant, narcissic very high (its right, those symptoms i all recognise), histronic high. All the social disorders.
Also, I promise never to swear again.

My IE crashed just as the results page was coming up. murgh
Tage has a blog?

that's a cool idea. *shakes fist at ISP*
Too bad it takes so long to load. Just wait till I get cable. I'll spend days just checking on all this stuff.
-
It might help with TWiG too.
-
Hum. I got a high in Histrionic and a moderate in Schizoid and Narcissistic. If I had a disorder, I suppose that would be the way I pan out--though it seems that most of us are rating pretty high in those three catagories.
-
If everyone really DOES love you it's not a disorder though, right?
I actually thought that Schizotypal and Narcissistic would rank higher for me than O/C, but I guess not.

That is html. This is a UBB board. Will not work. Copy and paste the actual, non - code results, and that will work.
Your Years at Hogwarts by nevermindless
Name: Entropy
The Sorting Hat places you in: Ravenclaw (Blue and Bronze)
Subject you are naturally best at: Potions
Your favorite book: Dragon-Breeding for Pleasure and Profit
Pet you bring to school: African Marsh Owl
You are most known for: Being Prof. McGonagall's favorite student
-
www.nanowrimo.org
"Writing a novel in a month is both exhilarating and stupid, and we would all do well to invite a little more spontaneous stupidity into our lives."
-
We should take part in that. Would be highly amusing.
-
Oh, I am totally all over that.
To do a full 50,000 words, you have to write 1667 words a day--which is actually pretty easy. A standard manuscript page has 250 words on it, so we're looking at 6-7 pages a day.
If anyone else is interested, we've already got an impressive little support group here--it might even be possible to upload your daily writings onto some part of the site and thus get ongoing feedback and encouragement. Who's with me?
-
are these the people that let you into their party if you bring them the manuscript?
Oh, and I'll go in with you Fell. How many words have we got to do?
and as for harry potter
The Sorting Hat places you in: Ravenclaw (Blue and Bronze)
Subject you are naturally best at: Transfiguration
Your favorite book: Predicting the Unpredictable: Insulate Yourself Against Shocks
Pet you bring to school: Reddish Scops Owl
You are most known for: Flooding the bathroom.
Transfiguration is cool. and yeah, I flooded the bathroom. But Jeffe was there with me.
-
I think the most important question is, what were you and jeffe doing that flooded the bathroom?
/me thinks for a moment
Uhhh, cancel that request for info. I suddenly don't want to know.
And on the books? Me, Fell are the takers so far. I think it would be massively funny to do this. Open up a section of the site where anyone can upload and just have people upload each days work as word documents. Like those dir's SE links to.
-
Those dirs are on my site, which is an entirelydifferent server. I might could open a public FTP folder on writers-group.org though. I'll see what I can do. I'm in too, btw, didn't I say that?
Oh, and the flooding involved a troll, a malfunctioning magic wand, and a couple of 6th year girls from Gryffendor. I'm not at liberty to say anything else.
-
What does "in" mean? Does it mean that you are all writing a novel together? Or you are all writing your own novel? Just wondering how amazed I should be.
-
we each do our own. Tha'ts the point. Though they tend to be crap, at least you have it done. you in or what, chica?
-
For me, its practice. I'm crap, but i'm not going to become un-crap without writing a lot of crap. Crapise?
Maybe we should theme it. So we all write star trek stories or whatever.
-
I'd like to join in too, I think.
(yes, I fear this may mark my return to this message board)
-
I showered you all with the link. So anything but a buh, I'm in.
-
Fuzzy!
The one-month limit is already pretty restrictive, so I see no reason to belabor the idea any further with genre, plot, or character limits. Everyone who enters writes their own novel, however they want to write it, and is not required to ever let anyone read any of it. It might be more fun to post your stuff on the site, but the other people writing their own novels probably won't have time to read it.
-
Hopefully when I go home next weekend I'll be able to meet up with some of these guys/gals. That'd be cool. Then we can all sulk together in the coffee shop they're talking about going to.
-
It's the fuzzmeister!
Ok. So the list is as follows:
Entropy
Fuzzy
Fell
Saint
Gemm
What does everyone intend on writing? We start in 4 days.
-
Entropy, do I know you? I can hardly even remember whose nick is what on here. Eric, Dan, Izzy, Brandon, and Jordon are all I can remember.
-
So why is it that you're naming us? We're going to do what exactly? Post our novel to the TWG site as we progress?
-
Fuzzyoctopus
Entropy, do I know you?
Not in real life, but i remember you from before you dropped off the forum.
So why is it that you're naming us?
Because i really like lists.
We're going to do what exactly?
Write a novella, dodo-head.
Post our novel to the TWG site as we progress?
Not to TWG! Considering each days worth of writing would require 10 posts, i think any topics created would quickly get out of hand. Although you could do it anyway. Create a new section, and have topics for people to discuss their stories. Anyone fancy doing that?
But anyway, not if you do not want to. Just write it on your ownsome.
Also, I promise never to swear again.
-
(yes, I fear this may mark my return to this message board)
You're triumphal return you mean!
(sorry, I'm a little hyper)
And I have to say that all of you are really cool. And I will attempt to write a chapter in a month. Because I don't think I could write that much in a month. But that would be more writing than I have done in a long time.
-
I'm going to create a topic for this in the Books thread, where it rightfully belongs.
-
uh... I already did that
-
Count me in as well.
-
Welcome back, Fuzz!
As for the books, I'll just sneak over to the books section.... (PS, yes, I'm in D.C. right now.)
-

Okay, anyone interested in Anime strangeness has to go look at this site:

that's.... not right
-
"my Eyes!!! You jerk you burned my beautiful eyes!!!!!!"
-
Heh. You know, the sad thing about that site is some of those costumes are REALLY good.
-
Well I only got to see a few good ones before the site started timing out, but as frightening as those people are, EUOL's right, some of them look amazing.
-
http://content.health.msn.com/content/article/77/90417.htm
Are men biologically hardwired not to listen?
-
I'm sorry, were you saying something?
-
I believe what that article was really trying to say is that male brains are more efficient, whereas women have to think more to get anything done.
-
Mechanically more efficient- but I have to say in practical application women work more effeciently because they can do 3 or 4 things at once whereas men are incapable of remembering what the 3 or 4 things they need to do ARE.
-
Maybe we're just content letting you do all the work. Which, once again, makes us more efficient.
-
Personally nagging you to death seems more fun.
I think it's a give and take thing. I always make my husband keep a running total of our groceries as we shop because he's better and more accurate. I am in charge of remembering and choosing christmas gifts for everyone, even his family, because I'm better at that.
Etc. and so forth . . . ::)
-
This is, without doubt, the most insane video game playing I've ever seen. Some japanese dude finishes Super Mario Brothers 3 in under 11 minutes.
http://www.transwarp.com/~dirus/mmcafe/moSMB3.wmv
-
?? Afraid I don't get anything from that link.
-
That's too bad, because it's really cool. The link opens a movie player, so maybe you don't have the right one? I don't know.
-
Dangit, the file has been removed. That's really sad. If TWG had more room I'd just put it up here. Maybe I can sneak it onto my brother's server...
It's a 17MB file, so if anyone has some extra room and wants to see the most amazing video game playing EVAR, let me know.
-
I have the room on my server... but I hesitate to volunteer because of how much time it would take for me to get the file onto my computer and then onto my server. There might be another way though... can you get onto IRC? maybe I can IRC from my shell, you can dcc it to me there, and then I can just copy it to an accessible folder.
-
Alright alright, here:
http://rickstranger.com/downloads/moSMB3.wmv
Get it fast, I won't have it long.
-
i'm downloading it. When I have it, I'll let you know, then start the uploading process.
-
got it, I"ll upload soon. gotta disconnect, wait for a call.
-
Wow. That's....
Wow.
Now there's a guy who understands the concept of wasting time.
-
Yeah. . . . I'm glad Saint is uploading it because I wnt to show it to my husband.
There was this flawless ability to time every jump. And some of the secrets he knew about were amazing. He must have been at 99 lives by the time he won.
-
Hardly EUOL. Only 11 minutes wasted on a game? C'mon, i can waste entire days on them.
-
Yes, but have you spent enough time on them to engrained the game timing into your fingers? Have you played a game so often that you can finish it in 11 min, when it takes most people approx 11 hrs?
-
Nah. I lose interest long before that point.
-
lol. All I know is that I played that game for a long, long time, and I could only BARELY get to the end.
-
well, it was a very long game, but I remember beating it with something like 48 lives. Hardly compares to the 99 that this guy had, but still. Also, I didn't do it in 11 minutes, because I deliberately avoided the flutes...
Also, it'd take me longer to get through some of those levels. So I'm still impressed, though I admit that the tank parts were less interesting than some of the others.
-
Yeah. He should have tried to do those without ever hitting the ground.
-
OK folks, new link, I have no intention of taking it down at any time, so feel free to love it with all of your body.
http://www.saintehlers.com/misc/movies/moSMB3.wmv
-
MoD showed me this link. She says fuzzy put it in her journal.
http://www.yetanotherdot.com/asp/80s.html
80's lyrics quiz.
Not the best done, however. He has a couple lyrics wrong. You are punished mercilessly for typos (is it a spelling quiz or a lyric quiz?). Also, he has a blind refusal to accept that Michael Hutchins sings the same line in a particular song TWICE with one word different each time (yes, the word you're asked to fill in). Also: you get a better score if you pretend to be younger than you are, and get points for telling him where you found the link. A final complaint: you get 10 points for knowing a difficult word from a song he even admits is not from the 80s. Not the best quiz as far as a quiz goes. But a fun waste of time for sure.
I'd like to have seen some of the better alternative stuff too. I don't recall any Echo and the Bunnymen. For that matter, no Billy Joel, Duran Duran, Europe, Ramones, or the Cure. grr.... now I'm getting angry.
I got 85. i reckon once you work out typos, I got a 90 at least. Making me pretty smrt when it comes to the 80s

Actually: some content:
I think we talked about stickfas once before, but I refused to patronize them because of a long contentless intro and a failure to find anything at all on their site. Maybe they've changed it. I'm not checking.

Ya it had it's own topic even.
-
It'll be nice when Saint finally gets broadband, his complaint meter will read empty.
-
actually, a lot of it was how they kept stretching the size of the screen.
-
My screen wasn't stretched. It didn't even scroll off the edge ...interesting
-
That's not what I meant. Each picture kept starting and the little square (sorry, screen was the wrong word) kept getting bigger.

Several polyhedra in various materials with similar symbols are known from the Roman period. Modern scholarship has not yet established the game for which these dice were used.
I think we all know what they used that for. A little game they liked to call "Caverns & Cavemen."

hey Fell can you put a link to the polyheadron on the christies page in my Mythology of Roleplaying games article?

I don't know, what's in it for me?

What? Uh, what?
That's a wierd combo.
-
I think Jeffes latest "which superhero is hotter" combo is pretty... bad.

I think that was a puppy and a catwoman for fell, not a match to decide on winners for
.

::)
Yanks.

YOU were the one who thought it was a girl contest.
-
I want a puppy! :-[
But I mean a real one. Man was that a cute puppy. I had one once upon a time that looked very like her. But alas, no pets allowed. :'(
-
I got an email this morning reminding me that Roman dice are mentioned in the Bible. Roman guards threw dice to decide who got to keep Jesus’ clothes. That's pretty gruesome but may be the first recorded instance of determining a "looting order."
Scott Kurst (whatever...)

Certainly not the first... but one of the most recognizable. Interestingly theres a Psalm about the same subject that predates the new testament by almost 500 years.

abbreviated, because not all of them were funny:
What NOT to do during "Return of the King."
2. Block the entrance to the theater while screaming: "YOU SHALL NOT
PASS!" Bring long gray robes, a pointed hat, and a staff with a flashlight attached for extra effect.
3. After the movie, say "Lucas could have done it better."
7. Finish off every one of Elrond's lines with "Mr. Anderson."
8. When Aragorn is crowned king, stand up and at the top of your lungs
sing, "And I did it.... MY way...!"
9. Talk like Gollum all through the movie. At the end, bite off someone's finger and fall down the stairs.
10. Dress up as old ladies and reenact "The Battle of Helms Deep" Monty
Python style.
15. Talk loudly about how you heard that there is a single frame of a
nude Elf hidden somewhere in the movie.
18. When they go in the Paths of the Dead, wait for tense moment and
shout, "I see dead people!"
19. Imitate what you think a conversation between Gollum, Dobby and Yoda
would be like.
-
I might pay money to hear someone do a conversation between Gollum, Yoda and Dobby.

Magical Slogan Generator!
"Be Like Dad, Keep Gollum"
"Drinka Pinta Yoda A Day"

11. In TTT when the Ents decide to march to war, stand up and shout "RUN FOREST, RUN!"
Although knowing me, it's more likely I'd make a comment about Birnam Wood coming to Dunsinane.
-
So I don't know if you guys have seen this before, as I don't keep track of this thread all the time, but my coworker just told me about this http://www.ishouldbeworking.com/.
-
er.. we'll just have to disagree on that one then. I didn't think it was funny. Also, it seemed desperate, since it was things (not) to do during Return of the King and it even says it's a reference to The Two Towers.

So today is Wright Brothers' day, at least that's what is on Google today, and I never doubt Google. Anyway, a friend of mine pointed out a very interesting thing about the brothers: these guys were WAY ahead of their time as far as fashion and modelling goes. Just check out these poses:

-
*laughs* They are stylin' aren't they? It reminds me of a blurb from the Readers' Digest this month
"Did you know that the first men to fly were from Ohio, and the first man in orbit, and the first man to walk on the moon were from Ohio?"
"Sounds like a lot of people are trying really hard to get out of Ohio."
-
The first man in orbit was russian...

From the Ohio part of Russia.

-
Ah, yes, the Stick Fight movie. Old, but still incredibly entertaining.
-
I know that, I'm just telling you what the joke in the RD was.
-
Yeah, there are like 8 or 9 of those. ANd #2 is not nearly the coolest one.
-
I posted these about a year ago. And #3 and #4 are the best. I wonder if he's ever going to finish #9 (which isn't on that site anymore), he's had the demo for it done for quite some time.
-
And SaintEhlers (I believe) posted them a year before that. Although, that was on the other message board.
Fun stuff. Good times.
-
Whew, my cynicism in humanity is restored! Remember that awesome 11 minute Super Mario Bro. 3 video? Turns out it's not entirely legit. The guy actually played on an emulator, and saved every frame of play and used save-states to edit the thing together. The project took him 2 years to do, so he's still a nut, just a different kind of nut.
It's important to note, though, that he still actually DID everything in the video, just frame-by-frame and with insta-rewind through save-state. Here's the story:
http://www.sohh.com/forums/showthread.php?t=410941
-
so....he spent TWO YEARS trying to make a video that shows he's as good as possible at a game that was already TEN YEARS OLD when he started the project, for what reason? COmmunity adoration. Dollars to doughnuts, he'll be living with his parents when he's 30
-
He probably is 30, or 40, and I'm sure your right about the living with his parents thing.
-
You mean its not real!
that makes me sad
-
someone fetch the prozac
-
Sod the prozac, get the shotguns.
-
/me releases his killer bear on Eric.
-
Jeffe, in all seriousness, I find those pictures disturbing and would really appreciate it if you didn't post them anymore.
-
no, really. stop.
-
ok no problem
-
Something..... words do not describe. Jeffe is a bad elf. I think he should be kicked out of the elf-hood.
-
whatever, someone just had to say it bothered them.
Personally im more bothered by the TV footage of a woman putting honey on her sons face at yellowstone for a bear to lick off that I saw two weeks ago.
-
Thanks Jeffe
-
You really found it disturbing?
-
Me? Yes. And that woman with the honey should be put in jail.
-
I agree but how is it less disturbing than xiaoxiao in which multiple people are killed, beat up or stabbed?
-
Mostly the lack of gore. The lack of repetition, and the situation. Stick fight is grown men beating on each other. That picture is a teddy bear mercilessly and repeatedly beating up a little boy. Very few people are impaled in Xiaoxiao which allows me to think they are probably just knocked out, maybe some broken bones. That boy is being pulverized. Repeatedly.

Been catching up on the last 7 months of my online comics lately, and just got to PVP today. Here's my answer to the long debate Allan and I had about the les mis in power armor or the "I'm a Japanese warlord and Supergirl is my lover" dream debate:

Also, in the spirit of time wasting, read this 11 part storyline (skipping the dog comic on the sunday in the middle. It starts here with a reference to the auction of that roman die we saw: http://www.pvponline.com/archive.php3?archive=20031201

"I'm a Japanese warlord and Supergirl is my lover" dream
That sounds like a cool dream.
-
Yeah, that's mine.
It's the only dream that I had a long time ago that I still remember that I attach no significance to.
-
