We're going to try and not have to get rid of the dogs.  Hopefully the Zyrtec and the inhaler will help.

Major suckage.  Ari discovered at one point that she was allergic to her cat...

You're...not getting rid of the dogs? :o Umm. Wow. I don't think I'll ever understand. Some sacrifices are worth making, but to me, dog ownership is emphatically not worth unnecessarily dealing with allergies for the rest of your life.

If it's dog fur you're allergic to, buy dogs that have hair rather than fur and do not shed. We had a schnauzer and a maltese yorkie-poo who did a good job of not shedding. (Of course, dogs like that need to have regular haircuts because they don't shed.)
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

I rather think the haircut thing would be worth it.

We're going to cut their hair short and buy this special shampoo that is supposed to help.

And you can't just get rid of them.  It'd kill me AND my family to not have them.  I mean seriously, we've had the one for 11 years.  My one sister basically grew up with the dog ALWAYS there.  I only vaguely remember NOT having her.

It's just hard.  We're also keeping them outside more.  We're doing everything to keep them.  We won't get new dogs after these ones are gone, but we can't get rid of these ones, they are too much like family.

Weimariners are awesome dogs that are aoubt 3ft at the hip don't shed and are short haired... they are incredably kind i have been told the germans tried to use them as war dogs but their general demeanor was too loving... i grew up with them so i may be biased ;D... i too am allergic to dogs though i am allergic to darn near everything so i just deal with it...was on shots for a year

It is one thing to have free internet access in your hotel in Mexico. It is another thing entirely when you only have free internet on the weekends, and then you cannot access their wifi servers at all. Weird.

Consistency, people, consistency! I did not expect to have internet, and then you take it away...

It occurred after I wrote this that the description sounded like fans, but of course I'm not famous so no that's not the dynamic in question. :|

My roommates have taken every single writing utensil I've left in the living room (on top of my laptop) overnight....First it was a pen with my name on it that my sister got for me at Virginia Beach...Then a red pen. Now, this morning, my mechanical pencil. And the only one I've got back is the pencil....

I'm a little upset--especially about the Virginia Beach pen. I think they're taking them to classes and then losing them. I'd talk to them, but I don't want to get into a fight, and stress is high at the end of a semester...But, oh, they're making me mad.
