Everything Else / Major minor
« on: July 30, 2003, 12:29:58 AM »
Ok... if I major in writing, what kind of thing should I minor in so I'll have a job to keep myself living before I get anywhere great in life?

As I asked Spriggan this he replied that I shouldn't be asking him. SE, Fell, and EUOL supposedly have suggestions. Since you all write, edit, AND have worked in publishing.

In addition to this I would like to write, but I also want to act. In a finality to my additions, I also have the craziest goal/dream of my life to do before I die. That is, I want to visit every country in the world. I have New York and PA down. Now its just the other 100+ countries to go. :P

Music / Concerts in an area...
« on: July 25, 2003, 08:47:42 PM »
that you think somone is near. Like take this one for example:

$3 is all it costs for this wonderfully city-subsidized summerfest.
We're on at 7pm sharp!
This is where to go: Pennsylvania Ave between 3rd and 6th in DC.
Also on the bill are the fresh and lovely Arrested Development!

Thats for a TMBG in the DC area, which I guess the Jeffe is around. I don't know about anyone else, but were I Jeffe I'd go since you can't really beat that price. So go, you bum, and record it for me...us. :P

Role-Playing Games / H.O.L.

Anyone ever hear of the RPG called "human occupied landfill?" I've talked to some people about it, and it seems like a really basic system that's easily able to be jumped into with unprecedented speed.

Suggestions Box / What could go wrong with my cheap memory?
« on: July 06, 2003, 03:46:02 PM »
Well after having my cheap memory sticks of 256 MB PC 133 SDRAM for almost 2 years, I've decided to take them on a nice little test. So I did. One's completely fine. Another one is partially bad, but not as bad as the last one. In about 2 hours of testing it had a good 780 errors or so. Ya, guess something was bound to happen.

Role-Playing Games / Four Bastards!

That was a tasty review. And rather humorous how Fell brought about his ''editor's" powers there. I enjoyed it. Other stuff. Yep.

Movies and TV / 28 Days Later
« on: June 30, 2003, 12:34:54 PM »
Ok, I saw this movie yesterday. I must say in the fewest words possibly it was grossly stupid. So the guy wakes up in London and finds that everyone's gone. Ok. Then he finds a few people that aren't infected as they're being chased by the infected. Then they go find a military base, some of them are nuts, all of them end up dead, or infected, and Jim and his crew get away and are found. End movie.

I have nothing more to say about it. Other than at some points it was actually funny. And the one scene where Jim gouged his fingers into the guys eyes was cool, it was a bit unexpected.

Role-Playing Games / Urban Arcana(and d20 Modern)
« on: June 26, 2003, 12:59:37 AM »
Ok, your review Fell is a bit correct, in that how the book itself projects how to use the setting. But in the d20 Modern core book there's the premise of this "Shadow" setting that I used in my campaign(since I had that book obviously before Urban Arcana).

Your first reason "Their excuse for why monsters and magic are in the modern world." In my game its the opposite in that the Shadow is being meticulated into the modern world.

Two "Their excuse for why nobody knows that magic and monsters have infiltrated our world." They're dealing with local adventures because they understand our world and the other folks don't.

Last "Their excuse for why nobody knows that magic and monsters have infiltrated our world." The players haven't found out yet, but the monsters are actually masked by the people who bring them into the modern world.

Soon I think I'll have the PCs cross into the 'D&D' world and after a few session there the worlds will finally collide and become one. Where magic, technology and different races are one. So  :P to you Fellfrosch! But I agree with the score.

« on: May 22, 2003, 10:50:22 PM »

I enjoyed both of these animes. My friend got the mangas for Love Hina and I'm reading those now. You should check them out if your a bit sore at all the craptacular anime thats out there too.

Suggestions Box / An even stupider idea...
« on: May 12, 2003, 11:18:10 PM »
I've got the perfect thing for some of the less talented people around TWG to review.

[shadow=blue,left,300]Websites[/shadow]

Hows 'bout that? For the uninitiated it may work well for those who want to jump into the article writing cliche but don't want to be known for their really crappy review of something tangible. Eh, eh?
