Gemm writes fun poems.

(MsFish, nope--Stacy and Saint are busy with other endeavors and I have allowed myself to be distracted from writing by my website [still working on it, in fact]. Keep an eye on the Writer's Group forum. I'm sure we'll get back to it soon.)

Send me an email to dreamon27x at gmail dot com with your address and I will send you a check for the catalog and postage. Do you think $15 will cover it? It's been a while since I've been to the bookstore. ;)

Thank you so much for your help, MsFish.

Gemm makes me smile and is himself to such a degree, it is unmistakable.

Everything Else / Re: Japan: Explain thyself.
« on: April 05, 2005, 03:45:26 PM »
Another trait Japan and America share is the popularization of the "me-centered" ideology. More and more in America things are focused on "my rights" rather than what is right. Unfortunately focus on self justs breeds unhappiness and destructive behaviors.

The other issue that doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention is the effect that these attitudes have on the next generation. It's hard to develop self-esteem in a family where your parents don't love and care for one another.

I have a request for those of you still attending BYU. My brother is starting in the fall, and I offered to try and get him a paper copy of the BYU University Catalog. I know that it is online, but sometimes it's easier to plan four years of your life when you can bookmark, fold the corners and highlight.

Can anyone help me out? I will pay for the catalog and postage, I just need someone willing to do the walking mailing for me.

It's a fun picture, but hard to discuss with out a background in stellar physics. Maybe you could jumpstart the discussion by posting something yourself, Ent?

I'm happy because I have a handsome husband and a cute son.

Even better, neither of them will eat me if I die. ;)

Books / Re: What's the best thing you've read in a year?

I'd have to say Rose Daughter by Robin McKinley. It had a Romantic (as in the Romantic period of literature) feel to it that I loved.
