I thought Pepsi Blue was bad enough back two summers ago, and now in the same week I learn about "Mountain Dew Pitch Black" (starring Vin Diesel!) and 7up PLUS, which wins as the STUPIDEST thing to name a soda. Yes, even over Sprite Remix.
7up PLUS!
Also, tastes like crap and now I'm stuck with 11 other cans because it was on sale and only has ten calories per can. Can we not be like Diet Mt. Dew or Diet Pepsi and just use aspartame? CURSE YOU SODA COMPANIES.
-
Pepsi Blue was awesome. I still get cravings for that stuff.
-
pepsi blue was evil, then again i'm a soda purist
-
7up Plus sounds like a type of gasoline. It probably has about the same effect on your system.
-
I go for simple when I drink pop, which isn't very often anyway. Any generic root beer will do, or Sprite-ish pop, but these new ones always taste so weird. Like Sierra Mist. Ick.
-
I have yet to meet a Mt Dew I didn't like. Pitch Black (why they call it black when it's grape I don't know. Have you ever seen Black Grapes in the store?) is great.
Grape and Orange are kinda the step-children in the soda world. They only get attention once in awhile when you need something different or have a weird craving.
Now as a kids, we used to mix whatever store brand soda Grams had in the fridge for our fiendish experiments. Then as we get older, it cola this or citrus that. Grape and Orange kinda fall by the wayside. Where is the media push for them? Why are they left out?
Thank you Pepsi Co for giving us a refreshing new grape!
-
I love the Mtn Dew Live Wire, but the Code Red tastes like liquid gummy bears. And I don't mean that in a good way.
Actually, I've been caffeine free since August 21st. This is a big deal for me.
-
I think I might lose my teeth to soda, cause I honestly drink that much of it.
-
Personally, Vanilla Pepsi is about as weird as I get over soda. You can keep all the New and Improved gimmicky stuff.
-
aspartame is evil.
-
all those new weird cola variants are nasty.
-
I'm all about Shasta. Remember Shasta? I haven't seen it around for ages and ages but I found some the other day at all-a-dollar. I think it may be overstock from the 80s, but it still tastes good.
-
Where are you from that you can't find Shasta? It's the most plentiful brand of soda at my grocery store. Grape Shasta is the most heavenly of all drinks.
-
Shasta is still around, and its probably the cheapest soda around too. If you actually like it, then you're in luck, because you will save money. You will find a shasta machine and pepsi machine side by side, and the pepsi 20 ounce bottle will be 1.00 and the shasta 50 cents.

SHASTA!!! It hasta be shasta! Go shasta!
We can't get it here, either, most of the people I know don't even know what it is. whenever my cousins come out they bring as much shasta as can fit in their car, and we will drink it and be merry. And more often than not, make a shasta based commercial. But you didn't care about that. GO SHASTA!
-
Now, you know you're no fun (except to those in your head and who are too afraid to disagree with you) when you say something like "all those new weird cola variants are nasty." Where's the fun in that? LiveWire. The Seasonal variant to that dull, sometimes flat, pop you've been drinking all winter, fall, and spring. Who cares what you're doing now, drink a LiveWire. And when you're feeling more operative than secretive, get yourself a cool refreshing red Code Red. But what about 7up? Why, remix your summer and drink some liquified skittles. Or just try some upside down, umop episdn, DNL the greenest of the green lime-iny lemon. And why not mix up the flavor a bit of your stale old Coke and Pepsi with a little twist of lemon or a super splash of vanilla.
So suck it up and get on the bus, the bus to TrailerTown.
-
how much did all those companies pay you to say that?
-
Well, my friend who worked for Pepsi said that there will be a new Mountain Dew coming out in october. A spicy flavor.
-
dodging the answer and being vague...you're on your way to corporate success!!
-

We drink a lot of dnL. I think we keep 7up in business with all the dnL we buy....

Taco Bell already has a Baja something Mt Dew, maybe that's it?
Spicy soda? That's weird.
Anyone ever been to Epcot and the Coke exhibit thing where you can sample beverages from around the world? Mmmm, watermelon soda!
-
My friend said that the Taco Bell Baja Dew is their own concoction, not from Pepsi Cola. So it is something different, and yet similarily the same.
-
Just tried pitch black mountain dew, its pretty good.
-
after 1 long year I have re-discovered cactus cooler, orange and pinapple flavor, genius!!!
-
Yeah I always wondered way they put orange/pineapple flavor on the cans if that's the only flavor they have...do they have other flavors, I haven't seen any. But, back on track, does anyone ever see sodas, etc. that are like...weird flavors you've never seen before? Like, when you're on vacation somewhere else or something? That seems to happen to me a lot...
-
I once had peanut flavored soda when I was in venice, it was actually really good...
-
Let's not forget Irn-bru!
http://www.irn-bru.co.uk/
I only tasted it twice and lord knows I can't forget it....
-
I'm drinking a grape fruit hansens soda right now, it's pretty good.
-

Probably to let people know what flavor it is in case they've never had it. Sounds like something I'd dig. I likes the pineapple.
-
theres soda made by SOBE, called adrenaline rush, it tastes exactly like orangina, pretty good
-
Your honor, I have new evidence to help make my case.

So why does pepsi spice look like some kind of beer or whisky, but in bright blue?
-
because that's what it's SUPPOSED to look like. "It's the holidays! Celebrate the birth of Christ by getting plastered and offending people or possibly killing them with your irresponsibility!
-
I don't getthe "spice" part. It just tastes like a generic cola. Ok, so it's a more festive reddish color than normal.
-
it tastes kinda liike a mild dr pepper
-
Wierd, really good, soda:
NEHI PEACH (ground rumbles, objects fall from shelves)
This is now just about the only soda I will drink when I can find it. All others just make me feel icky. (like when I drink liquid starburst, which, nutritionally, is just about the same thing) NEHI PEACH makes me fell icky too but the taste is worth it.
-
Skar, I almost agree with you. After drinking diet soda for so long, regular soda is usually too sweet.
However Wednesday I had lunch at Chili's and had some sort of tropical slushy fruit drink which I barely touched. It was like drinking pixie stix, if pixie stix were in liquid form and posessed by the devil.
-
demonic branded sugar. That would be AWESOME!
-
Well, I didn't get the red coloring part until I held it up towards some light. But I can taste some hint of nutmeg or ginger in the pop. It isn't all that bad. But I'll be glad when the holidays are over and it's all gone.
-
y'know what's really good? Ginger Altoids. Those things make my body love it.
