My DNA, but not my last name.

Why's that?

Because so far he has all girls, so presumably they'll change their last names when they get married some day.

Oh, and congrats, e! :)

Because this will be child #4. The last three were girls. And while I suppose they don't *have* to take a husband's last name, that's the traditional thing.

Ari tells me it's forbidden by law in Quebec.

So tell them to get married in Quebec.  =รพ

Hearty congratulations, SE. I love her name and she's a little cutie. Here's to a healthy baby, and let's hope she'll allow you and the Mrs. some sleep.

Ooh ooh, you should do a picture of the baby being held by your daughter, being held by another daughter, being held by another daughter, being held by your wife, being held by you, being held by Grandpa!!

We have a tradition in my family of doing generation photos with new babies--trying to get as many generations in one photo as possible.

Congrats!

Congrats

I guess she isn't an alien child with blue hair and super-strength, but she's really cool anyways.

Even though saying congrats is way cliche I'm going to do it anyway; so congrats!

Usually I don't think that newborn babies are very cute because of how red they are for the first couple of days (weeks?) I can honestly say that isn't the case with this one. She is very cute, especially in the first photo.
