A lot of people describe Scalzi’s Old Man's War novels as military science fiction, but I would classify its sequel Zoë’s Tale as a space opera. It’s a story about, well, Zoë, a teenage girl whose parents are invited to take leadership roles in building a colony on a new planet. Zoë is an enthusiastic member of the group sent to colonize Roanoke, despite the risks—and the risks are considerable even before the political machinations of greater powers boil to the surface. I wonder, though, if I am the only one on this sight that has gotten through all 11 books. EUOL was making it through, but got too busy. He hasn't finished 7. So I have no one to talk about it with, because everyone who would be interested might read them at some point and don't want any spoilers. And I wouldn't want to spoil it for them. Piecing together all of the subtle clues is part of the fun.

I was reading the posts and soon noticed that everyone who had something to say on the subject was a guy. So I decided to put in my two cents worth.
A new season of Gilmore Girls! Hurray! Hurray! Luke and Lorelai are engaged! Hurray! Hurray! I only wish I could fit in more exclamation points!!!
