You know this sounds a lot like the setup up for Undermountain I just reviewed.

You wouldn't think that would be a popular premise for a D&D adventure, but here we are.

Interesting, sounds like an extra-long version of Barrow of the Forgotten King.  Which we actually played and found disappointing after playing Scourge of the Howling Horde (which was also a dungeon crawl, but just a lot more fun than Barrow, imo).
