Gah! Too many games to play right now!

The first one was really fantastic and I have been waiting so patiently for the sequel. I really hope Molyneux continues to do what he does best and give us a great great game.

Kent: You, huh? Well you won't get away with this. Doctor Hathaway's gonna hear all about this. You'll rue the day!
Chris Knight: "Rue the day?" Who talks like that?

Picked back up Phantom at the slight behest of Monsta. I am glad to hear that you feel it ended well enough that I should continue on with it. Very annoyed that they did introduce Six when they did as well. Seemed out of place and desperate and I don't even know her arc yet. Also getting annoyed at the plot device they are using with Richard. If I were twenty years younger I would be able to relate just fine...

Also Dan's Vampire Bunny book has had me doing something I have not done in a while; Laughing out Loud.

I really enjoyed Wizard's First Rule. Took me by surprise as the content of the story, and what exactly was going on. I was not expecting that kind of story, and it was refreshing to see something new. I am unfortunately still stuck in the middle of Phantom...and honestly have stopped caring about the characters. Terry has hammered the same point on the about 200 pages the he dealt with in another book and I am really annoyed at hearing about it. To me that is really sad when I started with so much interest in the characters.

Just finished Elantris. All I can say is wow. I have never been so hopelessly in love with storylines before, while at the same time being frustrated by certain things that were done. I love figuring out puzzles, but I had the feeling I was given any clues towards what the answer was. Won't thread hijack or necropost elsewhere (though my brain is tingling with thoughts), will just say what a wonderful journey it was and I sincerely hope we are not done with it. I know Brandon has said he will continue, but I never take anything for granted. Especially in light of such things as Firefly, Advent Rising, and Red Dwarf.

Currently have Mistborn and Academ's Fury on order (small town bookstores hate me). Currently reading up on how to operate Ubuntu because I apparently don't remember how to work Linux. Going pretty quick though. Like falling off a bike.

I like making lists, so here is mine:

1) FullMetal Alchemist
2) Cowboy Beebop
3) Trigun
4) Death Note (Ignoring the last few episodes)
5) The Irresponsible Captain Tylor
6) Miyazaki  (I even think just him on screen staring back at us would still be better than most things that come out of Hollywood these days.)

Death Note is really dark. Really really dark. The concept was so interesting and you keep being pulled along by what the heck is going on that I couldn't stop watching it.

I know this is some sort of Blasphemy to some people, but Trigun was only watchable dubbed. I normally hate the horribly acted dubbing that accompines these works, but Trigun actually pulled it off. It also help the whoever wrote the subtitles might have had too much to drink while writing them. Exactly how many ways are there to spell Vash?

Dan Wells / Re: Blacker Darkness (Dan's vampire humor novel)

I love it, but then I've always been a fan of just random humor.  I especially like how the vampires act in the first chapter or so.  I kinda imagine them as monty python-ish, with the vampires talking excitedly to each other while following everything he does and giving little comments and compliments.

I had nearly the exact same thought. "Vampires are Palin's Spanish Inquisition! Brilliant!"

I have been watching the show since the infamous Amy Acker scene =).  I have definitely enjoyed it all up until now.  Even if some of story-writing has seemed bordering on the improvised, there have been some wonderful wonderful moments. Ghostfacers and Dean on the movie set just to name a couple.  But right now, i am just not really sure what the tension is.  Some things have happened that I am not sure that I agree with, and feel like were are forced to just take things the way they are presenting them simply because of the common perceptions.
