Hi,

I noticed some errors in your post again.

1) The first word, "has", is the start of the sentence and should have the first letter capitalised.

2) "I" is always capitalised, even in the middle of the sentence.

3) As you are asking a question, your sentence should end with a question mark.

Glad to be of service, and have a nice day!

The title should really have capitalized first letters, too.

Always happy to tease help

Now now, you're tempting extreme newbie-bashing.

Good work! You're already improving.

I haven't read the "Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks" themselves, but I read those kinds of books when I was a kid (not so much anymore). I liked them, but they were sometimes goofy. Are these any good?

It goes beyond "ironically amused" into "annoying eye rolling" when I see The Bot attempt a newbie smack down.

I've never been subjected to newbie smackdown, so it's not "ironic", nor eye-rolling. Plus, I never "committed" the smackdown, only threatened it.

So HA!

SE has been attempting to smack you down, the_bot. It usually consists of being condescending and making snide remarks :P

I used the bulldozer approach, myself.

You only think that because you're dense.

Ok, now I've been subjected to smackdown, not because I'm a newbie, but because e is prejudiced.

or just because I haven't ever read a post from you that contributed without sounding stupid. But go ahead and think i'm prejudiced if that makes you sleep better without having to improve yourself.

Ok I'm getting really sick of all these threads about who's a newb and who isn't.

The_Bot stop making smackdown threats, you haven't earned that right yet.

SE stop calling the bot stupid.  It's one thing to insult someone who ignores the rules and acts like a moron, it's another to insult someone who's trying to follow the forum rules.  Make fun of him all you want, I don't care about that, but you're being too harsh and just insulting him because he hasn't been around all that long.

Thanks for telling me what my motivation is, Sprig.

But no, I'm not. I make fun of him because I don't like his posts. You'll remember that *I* have been the one to stop people from mocking people just because they were new before. So feel free to ask me to stop, but you're wrong about why I do it. Cope.

I don't care if you mock, but there has to be some slack for those that have been around for more then a few weeks and try to follow the rules.  That's all I'm going to say here about it, if you want to discuss it more then feel free it IM me.

Ok, I'll stop. I'm more than happy to respond when people ask nicely with mutual respect, unlike some, less than dignified requests.

And e, I'd like to know what's wrong with my posts, too, if you can gather yourself enogh to talk to a newbie.

2 things

1) I did tell you. They tend to have no worthwhile content

2) That's not stopping. Though I'm glad you've chosen to think I'm prejudiced for your own comfort.

Let me stress, though, that my feelings are about you, personally. Traditionally I have been much more accepting of newbies than most. So your charges don't stand under much scrutiny.

I encourage you not to make this personal, e. Whether or not you think The_Bot has anything valuable to say, at least he tends to follow the forum rules while saying it. "I don't like him" is not a very good reason to harrass him as heavily as you have been, even if you do have a death sentence on 12 systems.

13. Marbellius declared last night.

There's a plea that makes sense. Up till now, the accusation has been that I just don't like newbies. Which isn't true. But since someone who actually has grounds to be peacemaker has asked nicely and without false accusation, I shall try to curb my dog.

No guarantees though.

By stop, I meant not threaten newbies, so I have stopped, as I haven't threatened a newbie since.

"I shall try to curb my dog." (Don't know code)

It's nice to know your dog is on a leash. ;)

SE, sometimes I wonder if it would maybe be a good idea to have a minimum age requirement for membership.

Just a thought.

So, if he eats things that are slower then him, he must be really hoping to find that next thing that's slower so he can put off eating himself...

Right...?

I think being forced to eat itself is every predator's greatest fear. They all know a guy who knows a guy who totally had that happen to him.

But now he's here we should congratulate him on his perfect sentence ( apart from the lack of full stop).

Someone else could probably find another problem that I've missed though!

He's changed his name from DARTH to GENERAL, possibly to appear inconspicuous, but then he joins his old haunts!

No it's the same account. I"m going to have to delete it. I banned him on user name too. but for some reason, that isn't working. Sprig, make darn sure that ban feature WORKS in the new version. THis is angering me beyond reason.
