Sad
« on: May 03, 2004, 11:06:16 PM »
My mom had our kitty put to sleep this afternoon, because she was just too sick and had stopped eating.  She was a little over 18.

If I had a kitty, I would let you hug it and snuggle it for comfort.  :)

Well, your kitty outlived our dog, which we had to put down when it was 17. Same reasons.

Safe living, I would assume.  She stayed out of fights, didn't run out into the street and lived with a family who spoiled her.

that makes sense, I guess.  But that is still a very long time for a cat.  I am impressed by your demi-godlike cat's ability to live...

I think it depends on the breed...I had a devon rex with a metal hip(after getting hit by a kid on a bike) who didnt die until he was 17 and he was in perfect health, till the car ran him over... and again I am sad for the passing of your cat, cats rule and their death is a horrible thing thats why the egyptians shaved off their eyebrows when thier cats died

I have never met a cat who survied over 11 years, but then, I don't really like cats so I don't meet too many...
