Giddyup! Check it out:
"This dazzling, unput-downable debut novel proves beyond a doubt that Dan Wells has the gift. His teenage protagonist is as chilling as he is endearing. More John Wayne Cleaver, please." -- F. Paul Wilson
This quote, by this author, is freaking amazing.

Yes it is. I'm way flattered.
For those who don't know, that's a probably-final form of a a cover quote Paul gave us for the US version of the book. Believe me when I say that I'm not just way flattered, I'm way flattered to the max.

Is this for I Am Not A Serial Killer?
-
When does I Am Not A Serial Killer come out in the U.S.? I asked if it was out the other day while I was at the bookstore, because I was going to buy it, but they said it wasn't even in their system. ha ha.
-
It will not be in the US until sometime next Spring, but you can order it online from www.bookdepository.co.uk, which ships for free anywhere in the world.
-
Coolness. I just ordered it. :] Are you going to be at the Warbreaker release? I'm assuming you won't be doing any signings 'til next spring when it comes out here.
-
I don't think I'll make it to the signing, since I'm going out of town for the Stoker Awards Conference at about the same time. I' will be at CONduit, however, so if you're local and need a signature I should be easy to find.
-
I'm up in Idaho, only around 2 hours away from Salt Lake so I am local - ish. ha ha.

If you have a credit card you can buy it online by following the link Fell posted up at the top of the tread.
-
Well, goody, then. I'll just take out my MasterCard and plug away. Or should I use a Visa? Or American??
-
Ha ha. Just borrow your mom's Shag.

Well I finally went out and bought it and I that's me just finished reading it. I read the whole thing in just under 6 hours. All I can say is WOW I loved it. It's not my usual style but couldn't resist checking it out after reading about it. Definitely glad I did, I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read book 2.
-
Dan, just wanted to let you know that I just finished the book. It was quite delightful. I loved it. Every time I thought I had something figured out, it twisted and went a different direction. I love books that keep me guessing. I've always been an extremely people person, so seeing the inside of John's head was extremely amazing. You did very very well with this novel and I can't wait to read more of your stuff as it comes out.
I'd give it probably a 5.5/6. The half point is for the fact that many of the other characters weren't quite as developed as I wanted them to be. I really wanted to get to know them, and we did get to know a couple, but then again I guess that's probably due to the first person being John. *shrugs* Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm really glad you guys are liking it. If any of you are local, I'll be at CONDuit in Salt Lake City next weekend and I'd be delighted to sign your books and give you a "I Am Not a Serial Killer" button (you know, just to ease everyone's mind. Or throw them off the trail).
-
OMGSH, you have buttons!? That's freaking awesome!
EDIT: Oh hey, I will actually be busy most of the day with other plans that day. Will you be at the BBQ/Rifftrax?
-
This sucks! All these signings happening and I can't go as their all in America it's not fair! :(
That's it I need to emigrate I'm sick of missing all the cool stuff.
-
Yes, I'll be at the BBQ.
And FantasyAngel, where are you from? I'm planning some trips next year.
-
I'm in Glasgow Scotland.
-
Dan, you should make fancy book-plates for your international and may-as-well-be-international fans. You could have some sort light, almost watermarked text of the book title (this would change per book) with a line for your sig. and a small line at the bottom with your web-address. If I was real industrious I'd do a mock-up for you...
...but you made fun of my spelling and then had a cold on my b-day. I'm a sad panda. :'(
-
That's not a bad idea. I also need to make some T-shirts.
-
t-shirts would be awesome. i'd actually buy one.
-
Shirts would be cool. I imagine a red shirt based on the UK cover art, with large slashes on it. It'd probably be my low key Halloween shirt for years to come.
-
im not a fan of red shirts. let's pretend the cover was white with black letters. simplistic. minimalist.
-
…And just plain cool-looking.
-
So, I bought it. The free world-wide shipping did it for me. Well, that and the fact that it was just my birthday, so now I have more than two dollars that I'm allowed to spend on books. :)
Doubt it'll get here before CONduit this weekend, but oh well. Signatures next time around, I guess.
Will be sure to leave some comments here when I get done with it.

Looks like someone already has a shirt for you
