A lot of people describe Scalzi’s Old Man's War novels as military science fiction, but I would classify its sequel Zoë’s Tale as a space opera. It’s a story about, well, Zoë, a teenage girl whose parents are invited to take leadership roles in building a colony on a new planet. I'm actually having second thoughts about going. I mean, I won't know anyone. At all. And that will probably be weird. And I don't have a car, which complicates everything. So we'll see if I actually make it to one of their game night things.
I'm also a little disappointed that none of the guys I talked to came and posted. I gave them all the information. Sad.
I, as said dyed in the wool gaming store going geek girl, or however you put it, think you should show up to our game on Saturday. I'm sure Pete would love it too and if necessary, I would even take you home.
