Awesome article, I'm looking forward to this series. Why is it in Webcomics, though?

It's about comic book shops and game stores, though it would be appropriate since this is a "Comic" forum.  The only other place is everything else and RPGs and it would get lost in EE and RPG already has plenty of articles while this forum doesn't.  Think of it as trying to revive a forgotten area of the forum.

because you don't have a competent editor!

but Jeffe, excellent article. Really good stuff. I was thinking to run you in place of the former fog of war.

thanks, rereading it I see tons of editing mistakes but I thought it was pretty good myself. Oh and Gil... he's real. His real name is Bill and he was a mess.

Sorry.  No offense meant.  The spelling errors and such are still pretty rampant.

Everybody needs editing.  I personally refuse to send anything out the door, at least professionally, until at least two other people have looked at it and we still all miss stuff.

To all site admins: If I had access to edit everything on the site I'd be happy to be one of the editors who look at things once it's up and fix the small errors that sneak past.

btw the "Compleat" part of CS is right... but Strategist is wrong. Or should at least look like I just spelled it.

Incidentally.  It was a fun article to read.  I'm looking forward to hearing more about the rejuvination of a gaming store.

So Jeffe you are only getting minimum wage for this?  The way it sounds, you should have got overtime pay for the bathroom.  I hope you will be getting some kind of discount on games to make it worth it.

If I remember, you have new World of Darkness rules correct?  I believe you linked me to the pdf when it came out.  Do you have or read through the new Vampire?  I wanted an opinion on the Humanity/Morality rules.  More specifically, playing a vampire who likes being a monster rather than one fighting against it.

yep 5.15 which is in my next article.

And I didnt get a bonus.

But I do get a huge discount.

Huge.

I have the new Vampire, but dont remember it well enough to give you a definate answer. I seem to remember that it did morality well and allowed some very monsterously alien Vampires.

The edit should be good now, on the front page and in the article.

waist deep not waste deep.

Im judging by the midsection :D

The bathroom was extra horrible because of a 4 foot long and 2 foot high grease smudge on the wall about chest level. That was the place "Gill" would rub his head against getting into and out of his wheelchair. The grease smudge was essentially a dark coffee color and the result of 4 long years of not cleaning. That took careful scrubbing with a green pad and bleach.

Bleach is the key by the way when entering into a place like that. My motto has always been, if it doesnt smell like a pool, it isnt clean enough.

I bet you think the "smudge" was the worst part but it wasn't because I left out the other smudge of indeterminant matter on the wall next to the toilet that I'd rather not think about, ever.

Lots of bleach there too.

Lots of bleach.

Okay if I am remembering right.  Whatever your Humanity is at, that is the max dice pool you can have for social interaction with humans.  So like if your total dice pool for a situation is 8, but your Humanity is 5, then you get 8 when working with other vamps but only 5 for humans (as you are limited to your humanity score).  Also if your score falls below 7, like 5 to 4, or 4 to 3, then you also have a chance of picking up a... I forget what they are called now, but a quirk or phobia or whatever.

That makes sense I guess, but then it made me wonder if they were trying to stranglehold you into playing a good guy by adding in lots of penalties for being evil.  Just trying to decide if it was worth buying, as I would also want a hardcopy of nWoD (unlike the old Vampire, you need both the World of Darkness and Vampire books to play- as a note for those who don't have it).  So it would be more like 60+ bucks for it, and I probably wouldn't play it too much, so I'm not sure yet...

Well, maybe I'll do a review of V:TR one of these days. I can be awfully fickle though.

Hey, I don't hear the people at ground zero complaining.
