I'm glad you finally decided to take the great step in life, EUOL. I'll have to say that being engaged isn't that fun but being married is great (and my wife is staring over my shoulder at the moment).

I will give my congratulations too, even though my schema of the world has been completely shaken by this development.

Congrats, Brandon. I agree with The Lost One, being married is great! (Although, as many people will probably tell you, the first year or so, as you're adjusting, can be hard. But if you can get past that and survive, then you'll be okay.)

Congrats!

Has she ever peeked in around these parts?

Amusing story: he proposed on Friday, with a ring, and she wore it to writing group. She rode in my car for 45 minutes, and then sat in the circle and displayed it prominently for almost two straight hours, and not a single person in the room noticed.

LOL. That's kinda sad, actually.... Really, really funny, though--not to mention irrefutable proof of my bling bling theory! ;D I rest my case, Sprigg.

That is, of course, why I did it.

Let's see...let me answer some of the things here.

1)  Yes, she is awesome.
2)  Looking like the Mt. Timp. Temple
3)  She doesn't do the TWG thing yet.  I'll try to convert her.
4)  Yes. there was a diamond involved.  (Thank you, Germany, for the money.)
5)  The proposal may or may not have involved me, wearing my fedora, hopping out of her trunk spraying her with paired silly string cans.

I will say this: it is the only proposal I know of that involved getting accosted by the police.

This is the only one you know of? I can think of a few dozen myself.

Sheesh, even the cans of silly string are pairing off now? It's a mad, mad world!

Anyhow, I dare say that the Indiana Jones silly string approach is . . . unprecedented. In a patently geeky way. It's sure to be a hit with the relatives and grandkids alike. lol. Way to go.

That sounds like something my brother would do, except, not as bad.

Anyway, Cangrats!

Well I'm going to have a hard time thinking of Brandon as a married man, but congratulations.   I don't know whether to add that I hope marriage doesn't distract you from your writing, or that it does.
