Title: I know something you don't know
Post by: Spriggan on March 17, 2006, 10:12:24 PM
Mwu-hahahahaha.

Let the rumors begin.

*ponders* Well, let's see. . . . Our first clue is that Sprig posted in EUOL's section. Ergo, he knows something juicy about EUOL, being his brother and all. I'd say it has something to do with a) his writing or b) his personal life.

If a) then perhaps Joshua received an offer for Sands of Alcatraz? Yep, that'd probably be something juicy enough for Sprig to tease us about. If b) then, um . . . maybe it involves a girl and some bling bling? (Hey, sprig said let the rumors begin! ;) Might as well start big. Funner that way.)

EUOL eloped to Vegas!

Now *that's* getting into it. lol.

The only hint I'll give is you're both wrong.

Though EUOL eloping to Vegas would be dang funny.

Aw, shucks! :(

Okay, so my specific scenarios are off the table, but it's gotta be something to do with a) or b).

Oh, oh, I just thought of something! *almost falls out of her chair* Did he get enough nominations for the Campbell award? Wow, that'd be awesome--especially seeing as how I was happy to put him down for that category. :D

Yeah, that's gotta be it. Did I win, Sprig? Did I?

:o Oh ho, now that's just . . . mean. Can't say I saw that one comin'. Vegas and bling bling are one thing, but JP's got the rumor mill on the Atomic Death setting, it appears. whoa

Besides, everybody knows Sprig wouldn't have been able to keep a secret like that for more than five seconds. ;)

Nah, EUOL would never kill his baby, particularly when he's already got a contract for it.

Anyhow, I already knew the world was ending, 42. No big secret there. However, if my Campbell scenario isn't the right one, then I'm betting on some kind of mega foreign contracts for the MISTBORN series courtesy EUOL's Super Ninja Agent. Oh, yeah. Entirely possible--and cool.

Ahh, now there's a wild but interesting thought! And Ookla sounds so darn confident too...

If that's the case, I think I'll wait to be at least the 21st customer . . .

It's a quote from a TV show, Family Guy.

Ah, that explains it. Should've googled the phrase, I suppose, and saved myself a bit o' embarassment. (shrug) Since I never watched that show, the joke was lost on me. Oh, well.

Mmm, pie. I bought stuff for apple cobbler. Sounds really good right now. All gooey with crumbly topping. Although . . . I know what sounds even more appetizing: hearing the tantilizing gossip straight from the Spriggan's mouth. Otherwise we start launching EUOL's unpalatable pies in his direction. ;)

EUOL is dying of lung disease, and desires in his final months to finance and build the world's shortest roller-coaster.

EUOL borrowed a time/dimension travelling Subaru and visited an alternate future EOUL (now referred to as AFEUOL).  EUOL manages to convince AFEUOL to give him a copy of all the books AFEUOL has written in his career as well as many of the bestselling books of the future.  EUOL's plan is to pretend that he's writing when actually he's just going to periodically send off one of the future books to his agent.  With all the spare time he'll have, he'll work on the Sanderson Multiverse Tabletop RPG system and live a life as a playboy secret agent.

EUOL has decided to give up life as a writer. Instead of writing, he is going to attempt to scan his soul into the internet and live only as MMORPG characters and forum profiles for the rest of eternity.

Since I know all of you will have lots of questions about Emily, or as we know her "M", Fell, 42 and I have compiled everything we know about her into this post.

She's a girl
She's a Teacher
She's about the same age as EUOL

and we think she's from Provo

Heck now thanks to EUOL's previous post I now know her last name, so that's 5 things I know about her!

lol. So EUOL managed to trap a female without said diamond engagement ring, eh? Impressive. Impressive indeed. ;)

So . . . out of curiosity, what did he proffer then? A gold-plated "One Ring" off eBay? hehe

Congratulations again, though I have offered mine already. Amusing story: he proposed on Friday, with a ring, and she wore it to writing group. She rode in my car for 45 minutes, and then sat in the circle and displayed it prominently for almost two straight hours, and not a single person in the room noticed. When we were finally done with our meeting Brandon just sighed and said, "I expected it from the guys, but I'm really disappointed in the girls," at which point we all simultaneously realized what was going on.

I'm glad you finally decided to take the great step in life, EUOL. I'll have to say that being engaged isn't that fun but being married is great (and my wife is staring over my shoulder at the moment).

Congrats, Brandon. I agree with The Lost One, being married is great! (Although, as many people will probably tell you, the first year or so, as you're adjusting, can be hard. But if you can get past that and survive, then you'll be okay.)

That is, of course, why I did it.

Let's see...let me answer some of the things here.

1)  Yes, she is awesome.
2)  Looking like the Mt. Timp. Temple
3)  She doesn't do the TWG thing yet.  I'll try to convert her.
4)  Yes. there was a diamond involved.  (Thank you, Germany, for the money.)
5)  The proposal may or may not have involved me, wearing my fedora, hopping out of her trunk spraying her with paired silly string cans.

I will say this: it is the only proposal I know of that involved getting accosted by the police.

Sheesh, even the cans of silly string are pairing off now? It's a mad, mad world!

Anyhow, I dare say that the Indiana Jones silly string approach is . . . unprecedented. In a patently geeky way. It's sure to be a hit with the relatives and grandkids alike. lol. Way to go.
