Title: Inquisitor
Post by: Fellfrosch on November 26, 2003, 02:17:51 PM
Mustard and I played a rousing game of Inquisitor last night, recreating a small Dark Eldar raid on an Imperial Guard outpost. Thanks in no small part to my Punisher-laden Archon, and to Mustard's deep love of dangerously unstable plasma pistols, the Dark Eldar made off with six slaves and no losses. We also learned that a sniper rifle is a pretty useless weapon at close range. I'm tempted to write a battle report, but only if people are interested. I know Morag is--how about the rest of you?

Curses!

I take consolation in the fact that Inquisitor isn't balanced.  Therefore, Fell won because his guys were better - my tactics were far superior.

Oh yeah!
I'd love to hear a batrep!

Yeah, I'd like to hear about it as well.  I only got to play =I= a few times, but the sessions were pretty darned fun.  Once had an entire unit of legionnaires go up against the Incredible Hulk.

So...

Anychance of seeing the batrep?

We're all chomping at the bit here, Fell :)

C'mon everyone, get the chant started!

Fell! Fell! Fell! Fell! Fell!

Can you still remember it at this point?  We'll probably have to play again.

Also, because I lost, and I need a chance to redeem myself.

I sat down with the character sheets on Saturday night and realized that I didn't remember enough of the story to tell it interestingly. We'll have to play again, only this time we'll balance the scenario a little better, maybe add some trees and whatnot, and some specific enslavement rules.

Disappointment reigns supreme...

Still, I look forward to hearing of your next match.

Inquisitor is like small-scale version of 40K isn't it? I love playing small-scale battles, it makes your heroes much more effective. I remember playing with my friend's borrowed Eldar army, and laying waste to wave upon wave of Dark Eldar warriors.

No, Necromunda is a small, skirmish version of 40K.

Inquisitor is a highly detailed wargame/rpg hybrid that takes place in the 40K universe.  Pretty intersting game, all told.  Wish I had someone to try it out with around here.
