I apologize if such a thread has been done before. If it has, I've been unable to find it.
That said, ever since I finished the third book, Feruchemy has been eating my brain. Considering what Sazed was able to manage, I can't stop thinking about what a warrior Feruchemist could do. Things like replacing one's backteeth with gold, zinc and steel; swallowing ball bearings (and combating the toxic effects with gold PRN), filling tinminds to keep as an analgesic tactic and so on. Also, speed is more useful than strength (seeing as Feruchemical strength proportionally raises bulk).
Just to keep things accessible, a list of the metals and their feruchemical applications: Pewter - stores strength; Iron – stores weight, not mass; Steel – stores physical speed; Copper – memories; Tin – sensory acuity; Gold - stores health; Bronze - stores wakefulness; Zinc – stores mental speed and Atium – stores youth.
The floor is now open to all manner of speculation.

Finally someone who shares my enthusiasm for feruchemy. I have always thought that if ever the Terris decided to train their feruchemists to fight, they'd be unstoppable. I can just imagine them in expanding suits of armor, zooming into a fight, and kicking everyones trash. I like the gold teeth idea. Though if the feruchemist had a good supply of weight they wouldn't need to take the precation of having the metal inside them.

I'm rather partial to the vision of bunkers beneath the earth, filled with row after row of beds. On each bed lies a silent emaciated body, blind, deaf, catatonic.
Waiting to be called to war.

Well, that and the sexual applications of atiumminds. Who needs Viagra anyway? :o

Now that sounds awesome.

And totally rocking at it when they are! It could become an arms race, people figuring out better and better ways of storing attributes so that they can become stronger on the battlefield faster.

I keep thinking there would be secret government sponsored breeding programs between mistings and feruchemists. the result being the ultimate pewter warrior. hehe
Building on that you could breed mistings together based on which power they have, creating a line with strong attachment t0 tin or whatever.
Or one could go the other way... the Xmen way and have registered mistborn and mistings as well as feruchemists with only bronze, aluminum, and chromium burners accepted in normal society. The others hunted and feared because of their superhuman powers. The nobles oppressed by the skaa. Mehehehehehehhe
You could almost take it in a GATTACA direction as well, in the third trilogy planned. DNA testing, borrowed ladders, copperclouds, secret allomancy, feruchemy, and removable hemalurgic spikes. Possession alone costing you 20 years.
Fun to think about in any case.

sorry to be the party pooper but maybe thats why Brandon had them as peacefull goatherders/farmers and gatherers of knowledge. But the idea of a warrior Ferechumist(spel?) is awesome somebody should suggest it to Brandon for his second Trilogy involving the planet Scadrial

I recall some blog posts or interview responses suggesting that Brandon is thinking along these lines for the next time he visits Scadrial.

Cool Things to do with Feruchemy and Allomancy #6,000,000: going Vin's Horseshoe Hero Style one better. If you use koloss swords or something as massive and tap and fill weight cleverly enough, you could just about manage true flight ... in the sense that neither you nor your items need ever touch ground.

Cool to think about, but impractical. What you're suggesting is that the Feruchemists are storing everything - strength, speed, sense, wakefulness . . . which wouldn't work. The only thing you can store while sleeping is wakefulness.

I am aware of that but going into too much detail would have ruined the relative euphony of that post. That said, they would probably alternate between bronzeminds and everythlng else.
