Pinball was always fun to play. Still is, although it's getting harder and harder to find machines nowadays.  :(

Hmm since we seem to be quoting fictional characters now, I guess I'll throw my two cents in.  :D

Books / Re: Fan Fiction: Good or Evil

Well speaking as someone who actually writes fan-fiction, I can say I'm certainly getting a kick out of reading all these replies.  :)

Usually the bulk of fan-fiction I do is for projects that either didn't get enough story in (i.e. the show got canceled after a short time, i.e. 1 season) or simply a desire on my part to explore different facets of the story. I love secondary characters almost as much as main characters, so I often focus a lot of fan-fiction around these less popular characters. And yes, it is all just for my own amusement.

That's my problem, I have no real illusions of being an actual published writer. Fan fictions, that only I read for my own amusement and love for the body of work, are the only outlet I have into acting on my love of literature.

To be honest, this thread dies from time to time. It will go months with only a couple of post to then be the most popular thread on the forum for a while. Now I don't think it will ever be as popular as it was a couple of months ago when there were hundreds of posts over a couple of days but it will always be fun.

I blame the holidays.  :)

I know I haven't been on much in the last few weeks. Am hoping to remedy that sometime soon.  ;)

Yup, I'm still bored.

EDIT

Oh, PS: Monsta, love the Wally avatar.  8)

Hmm, I LOVE me some cold shrimp. Get the sauce and everything's so yummy. I could eat it forever lol.  :) Then again, I'll eat almost any seafood, cooked or not.  :D

I got a little misty eyed at the end of HoA, I'll admit it. Although I truly did cry when Sazed found Tindwyl's body in WoA.  :'(

I'm going to have to bug my dad to make some Chicken Satay with spicy peanut sauce sometime soon. Haven't had that in awhile and it is too delicious.  :)

I'm on the edge when it comes to CG. When used sparingly it is ok, but if a movie is completely dependent on it (unless, of course, the movie is nothing but CG, ala Pixar, etc) it kinda loses the pull a movie has on me. I mean, looking back before there was really CG, at movies like Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, those movies had amazing epic fantasy feelings without depending on CG.

There is a place for CG, but there is also a point where one has to step back and say, "that's way too much."

And as for TDtESS remake, haven't seen it, probably won't in theaters. Loved the original though. It will probably be a DVD rental at some point in the future.

I got a bunch of gift cards and some money for Christmas, which is good, since I can now go out and buy stuff that I ACTUALLY want, as opposed to getting more socks and sweaters.  ;)

I got two (exceptional) Thai cookbooks for Christmas... and 4 volumes of the user manual for my new digital camera...

I'll probably spend much of tomorrow reading the camera's manual stuffs.

Mmmmm, I LOVE Thai food.  :)

Surprisingly I didn't get any books this year, will have to remedy that next year.  :D
