Earth 2
« on: December 01, 2005, 02:30:31 AM »
Anybody remember this show? It's out on DVD now. I loved it SO much when it was on. About as much as a Firefly fan, and it lasted as long. 21 episodes.

I'm only on episode 1, so we'll see if it holds up to my memories of it. :)

Oh, wow. Yes, I loved that show. It ticked me off when they canceled it!! My family and I taped all of them, actually. I remember loving the Terrians and enjoying the other story lines as well--like how the planet once was a dumping ground for murderers and such. Oh, and Antonio Sabato Jr., mmm.  :D Personally, I think the series holds up pretty well over time.
Funny thing is that I've just "discovered" Firefly. A friend kept telling me I should get the DVDs. I got Disc 2 from Netflix yesterday and watched 2 highly enjoyable episodes last night after watching Lost. Loved them both so much I kept reminding myself not to laugh too hard or else I'd wake up my roomie.
As far as I'm concerned, *both* shows should've stayed around much, much longer!

I mentioned this on your LJ, but I loved Earth 2 when it was on. Mostly for Rebeccay Gayheart, but the rest of the show was okay too.

I totally loved Earth 2. For many of the same reasons as Tage, but also because the Grendels were really cool. And Tim Curry.

Yeah, those Grendels were funny. So ugly that they're sorta cute. I wanted to know more about those guys.
I liked Tim Curry's character too. What a delightfully psychotic criminal!
I think my favorite, though, was Danziger, the mechanic dude. All brooding and handsome with a loner instinct.  ::) But, I got so sick of how bratty his kid, True, was!

I thought it was Drew. The girl's name, I mean. But I also thought Danziger was hot. He still looks quite nice, in an early-90s grunge sort of way.

Uh-huh. 90s grunge--that sounds about right. His hair--so endearingly scroungy and curly! And, whatever his kid's name is, she *was* a pain in the neck from what I remember.
