I don't have ANY professional experience...

And you know someone there Fish.  The saying is true, "it's not what you know but who you know", just because of Stacer you'd already be more appealing then just some random person.  Also it never hurts to just apply, it help develop your resume and interviewing skills.

What's the pay I could expect if I applied? Sorry, that's a major factor for me right now. I'd love to live in a less expensive place and, well, work for Wizards, but I don't know if I'd be better off for that.

Most likely cheaper than the Washington DC area, but I haven't lived there for a long time, so I could be wrong about that. I wish I could apply for this, but I can't move right now. Oh, well.

And Ms. Fish, it just says 6 months of paid experience preferred. Any experience helps. So if you have other experience you could count (whether professional or not), that would help.

Real estate costs more and public transit is worse. But no state taxes  is good  ;)

There is nature, lots of nature.

on the minus side, schools are bad there compared to here.

as for real estate, a quick search on homes.com brings up a large number of homes at least as big as my town house, on more property, for the same price. so, no. I don't think it would cost more to live there, and maybe I'd actually OWN a house, rather than pay someone else's mortgage.

Well, I personally liked living with all the green, but it takes some time to get used to the rain and the overcast weather, so if you're one of those people who get depressed if it's not sunny enough, I would not suggest it. But if you like mild weather (not too cold or hot) and green nature along with a lot of lakes and the Sound, it's a great place to live. Just depends on taste. I think overall I like it better than Utah's weather, especially since you can really grow things there. I *LOVE* berries and they grow wild there. If you want to grow them (as long as you have a place to do so) it's not hard, unlike here!

It's not hard to get better than Utah's weather, imo
Las Vegas has better weather. It may be hotter, but i like the sun better there.
