Reading Excuses / Re: Your Background

Hi, I'm TV's PreposterousJustin from the Internet. You may have not seen me on such shows as The Oprah Winfrey show, Dr. Phil, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. You can catch me on my new show "Average Expectations: The untold story of a young man at his first year in university, Part one of three hundred and seventy five."
I'm an 18 year old university student going through my first year, and writing's just always been what I do. It's always been there, lingering in the background, tugging on a cancer stick, It was that woman in the red dress that seemed to be at every party, every social event you went too. Her eyes would speak novels of love, laughter, and lament, and the more you try to forget all of those good times you had, you know she's the best thing for you, and you've got to treat her right this time.
So, to make sure she doesn't file for divorce anytime soon, I want to take this whole writing thing much more seriously. My biggest influences would probably be Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and various other sources really, I tend to change my writing style a lot. I tend to write whatever: Short Stories, Reviews, Articles, even a twenty page epic I wrote when I was twelve but am now too embarrassed to look at. I've sent my stuff around to friends, but I always feel like they are babying me somewhat, so I hope you guys are huge jerks with little consideration for my feelings unless you hurt them.
I hope to get to know you all, and I look forward to eliminating my excuses for not writing enough.
