HURRAH!

Over 3,500 words, before midnight.  I'm really happy with myself.  I might still have a chance at succeeding this year, even though I'm currently projected to finish late December.

I don't think I have ever before written nearly this much fiction in one day in my life.  (I know, I'm pathetic.  Even during NaNo I haven't broken 2100 before now).

EUOL is going to be the henchman that never shows up in the TWG NWN Mod.

I also wrote over 3k last night, though I stopped at 11 since my wife was already asleep and I still had to come to work today. Best this year so far. I may have a shot at this thing.

As for the calendar, I know that SPrig had one half-coded last year, and I've learned enough that I could probably do one that would each person could update themselves next year if given enough notice (like, beginning of october).  I liked the calendar, but I'm too fickle and have too short an attention span.

1694 words so far today. I know it's not much, compared to 50,000, but seeing as how I haven't written in a week and a half, it's a lot, especially because it puts me at 5481 total. I broke 5000! I'm 10% done! Yay!

And I'm not done yet. Oh, and that was 1399 in one hour of writing. This one scene flowed so much better than all 3000-odd words from before--I think I wrote twice as fast.

I had a busy weekend.  Only 700 or so in 2 days.  So I'm somewhere near 17 or 18k.

I'm at 8k now.  Not bad for only actually having written three days out of the month.

Whoops.

On the other hand, I think I figured out how to fix the first novel that I abandoned.  So maybe I'll have to write that one next month.

32k here so far.  Hum.  I'm curious to see if I make 50k or not.  I haven't really increased my writing pace.  We'll just have to see.

I got seduced by HP and the Half-Blood Prince, which I had not yet read because I knew if I did it would eat my life.

And it did.  I read the book in 36 hours, 12 of which were spent reading, and 16 of which were spend at work.  Ouch.

So I'm still at 10k, but I no longer need to live in fear of spoilers.  I'm so not going to make 50k.  It was a nice thought, though.

I still think I'll keep trying though, cause at least I am writing.  Which is an improvement.

8599 total, 3188 of which is today. Yay! Never going to make it to 50,000 by next week, but I'm making progress nonetheless.

Actually, I kept writing. So my full count is 9709. Yay! Which means 4228 words today alone. I don't think I've ever written that many fiction words in one day ever. I might have matched it while frantically finishing my Black Bull novella for folk tale class, I suppose. But I'm still feeling pretty awesome about this.

Add to that a small piece of about 1100 words I wrote in late October--which I'm not counting for NaNo, but which was the inspiration for what I'm working on now--and I'm over 10,000 words on my way to an actual book. Now I'm starting to wonder if I can use any of the scenes from my novella for the other-world part of the book. Like I said, I'm not going to hit 50,000, so I might as well see how I can make the book itself work.
