"Magic is what makes fantasy fantastic," someone says, "you can't apply rules to them or else it loses wonder!" I respond, "Sure, but if you want to write them you will certainly want to know how they work." Writing is all about execution, and I find applying some basic laws of physics to magic systems make them more understandable and realistic. Here, I'm going to outline my basic method for developing a magic system.

There was a kids play entitled "when i grow up" and it was about what they wanted to do...one kid randomly shows up through out the play and shouts "when i grow up i want to be a bum" he was more or less the knight in Monty Python that slaps people with a rubber chicken
Once again, you're not understanding and I don't feel like explaining. That's not the reason.
And yes. I was a little surprised at the deterioration. I would've thought joking in this was purely acceptable since this whole thing is kind of a joke (we're not REALLY warring...right?...right?), but...whatever.
