So I grew up, got married, and graduated from college. I'm now working as a writer/editor at a company in downtown SLC. I ran into Kristy (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) at the TRAX station, and she filled me in on all y'all a little bit.
I promptly went out and bought Elantris and started reading it. I then found out it was about $10 cheaper at Amazon, ordered it there, returned it to Barnes and Noble, and have been about to bite my hand off ever since. It shipped yesterday. It can get here tomorrow, right? Right?!
It's groovy that this place is still here. I even remember who some of you are. So, yeah. Hi. :)

Hey Ruth! You spelled it right. :) I'm glad I ran into you, and that you found your way back here. :)

Wow! Ruth. Great to hear from you! This is Brandon, by the way.
So, our chronically youthful TLEer is married. Plus, Mr. M is back from his mission and has become editor. Sniff. They all grow up so fast.
If you want to see some of us, drop by Bucca de Beppo in south Salt Lake tomorrow around 7:00. We're having an ELANTRIS is finally out celebration.
-
wait... Ruth can't be married OR graduated. She's just a kid.
and we'll have to involve Mr. M in another FBRPG so we can have the joy of Dravner again.

Is Ruth the mountain biker or was that someone else entirely?

/me points, laughs
See? You should have spent the ten dollars . . . or at least held on to the BN copy until your Amazon copy arrived.
It's good to hear from you!!

No, that was Karen.
Isn't Mr. M married too? I thought I had heard that somewhere.
-
Actually, the mountain biker was Britney, who never did go out with me. Somehow being editor didn't give me the same allure that it gave Brandon.
Oh yeah, hi Ruth! Drop by more often. :)
-
I had a mountain bike, too, but don't think I was known as "the moutain biker."
-
Mr. M is indeed married, and he's convinced his wife to become staff at TLE, the clever guy.
-
I'd like to come and maybe even bring my husband. Which Buca di Beppo: downtown Salt Lake City or Midvale?
-
It was the one in Midvale, I'm afraid we just got back. There will be other get togethers, hopefully not too far away.
Oh, hi Ruth, it's Jeff, if you remember me.
-
Ah yes, Britney. Sorry about that. I wouldn't take it personally Tage, I think she was engaged when you met her.
-
Jeff, I practically know your whole family now. Sarah was in my ward junior year, and now Scott is in my family ward. I know you and Greg--who's left?
And I'm sad I missed you guys last night. I should have checked the date on Brandon's post. Oops. :)

Well actually Ruth, I have five other siblings, four nieces, five nephews, another niece or nephew coming, and about 24 more first cousins. So yes, there are plenty more family members for you to get to know. Actually, I don't even know all them now. There are a few new additions I haven't met yet.
