I really doubt the first person perspective would be well suited to the Mistborn franchise.  The awesomeness of watching Vin flip about with Iron and Steel would be significantly diminished by, well, not seeing it.

Ah, but an adaption to anime would negate all of the flaws you've picked out, just by properly implementing the source material.
Dialog is something that Mistborn is pretty good at, check.
Premise?  DUH.  Check.
Writing is top notch from Brandon, check.
Fight scenes?  Booyah, check.
And, TADAH!!!  We've taken your usual complaints with anime and replaced it good ol', Mistborn-y awesomeness.
You're welcome.

I almost feel bad for Ruin, after all Preservation is the one that betrayed him and wouldn't let him fulfill the deal they had made...
Well, Ruin DID say that destructive doesn't mean evil, perhaps the reverse is true.  Preserve at any cost kinda makes you think twice, doesn't it?

WHOA.  I've never seen anything like this!  That's way cool!  What other books have this kind of setup?

The French don't particularly like ending consonants for syllables, do they?  I'm a choir guy, and am currently working on a french song and my teacher really emphasizes that.  I'm also semi-familiar with IPA. :D
I prefer Sahz-ed, myself.  And Kel-sea-ay, sounds wimpy, just like its french origins.  *evil grin*
Cheers.

Firstly, thank you for being a soldier.
Second, that's really cool.  I want to meet him, and he lives not too far from me.  I even have a friend who I think has met him, but she has only read Elantris.  She refuses to read his other books, I have expressed my shock at such a proclamation and wish that I could be in her shoes.  But what can you do? ???
Cheers.

Oooh, where can I get one of them ritual goats so I can convince the gods to give me a laptop and/or a cell phone?

That may be what computers run on, but we all know the internet runs on teh lulz.

I sincerely enjoy Howard's take on the issues presented every week, he's also hilarious.  I agree with your thoughts on why, as I can tell that he does know the value of what he's doing to himself and others, I just couldn't pin down a really specific reason or two.

Also, I laugh myself silly every time I listen to episode 632.

I love KH, and I think that might be a good idea.  At least when it comes to controls, I think it should be one button is responsible for each metal, but, obviously, some would need to be passive, like copper and bronze, otherwise it would be seriously loaded down.

As much as we'd love Brandon to put out a book as often as possible, that's really not how it goes.  He can only take so much onto his plate at a time, and with WoT dropping on him so suddenly, throwing off everything else he's doing, he's going to need some time.  It really comes down to time.  But the good thing is is that he always has something else to go onto, he's got a lot of future projects that are in the works.  Which is great for us as fans, cuz he won't have just one book and be done like some great authors do.

Well, I suppose publicity is a part of it, but I think that these guys honestly like helping new writers.  Dan because he mostly is a new writer, who's first book just barely hit the US.  Brandon teaches a writing class at Brigham Young University in Utah, where he interacts a lot with newbs and sees their frequent struggles with coming into their own as an author.  Howard...I can't think of any specific reason he'd probably want to do it other than it being lots of fun, but probably so he can bounce ideas around with the other two.

Compared to other podcasts, they actually have a ton of guests, at least a half dozen a season so far.

I dunno about the length, it seems that once they really get into the swing of a subject that have to cut to the next part, which bugs me.  But it is very convenient.

^I'm not sure that would be a good idea.  If we want the next Mistborn books to be as great as the first we need him to want to write them.  Just give him time, if he does em, it'll be awesome.  Better for him not to do it at all then do it for the money and totally screw it up.

^Well, that just means that the other bead isn't at the well.

^^If that means we have to wait like twenty years, that's okay, I'll wait.  If previous experience is anything to go by, then we'll be getting the third trilogy of Star Wars movies around that time.  YAY!
Let's see, he's got the Way Of Kings coming, which is supposed to be like ten books, that's a good decade right there, the fourth and fifth Alcatraz books, that's probably a year together, the last two Wheel of Time books, so that's maybe three together, and probably some other projects I'm missing.  So that's 14 years just by what I can pick off the top of my head.  He may throw Mistborn in there once he comes up with a story he gets excited about, so lets hope for that!

Well, there was no real reason for it.  It just added something I felt was tedious onto the already complicated task of simply getting the best equipment.  And since each enemy was usually only worth one point it enforced the need to grind for them.
