Title: Ouch!
Post by: FirstMateJack on May 08, 2006, 12:58:30 PM
Went in to work today, and then my company tells me that they are having budget problems, and as I was the newest employee I had to be let go.

drat.

Anyone know of any good sales/marketing careers that are open?

suxxor!

sorry, I don't do sales/marketing. But there's always work to be found in the DC area. And we could always use another TWG-Easter, even if you are a dirty pirate.

Eeep.

Sorry to hear that.

Hopefully you'll find something quickly.  I don't know of anything off the top of my head, but will keep an eye out.

We have a couple Sales positions at my company in Lindon, UT. Here's the link to the whole list (http://jobs.altiris.com/altirisjobs/). And here is the one (http://jobs.altiris.com/altirisjobs/default.aspx?ID=421) I was thinking of specifically.

Also, Omniture, which is Orem, has some sales positions (http://www.omniture.com/careers/open_positions) as well.

Rotten eggs. I've been laid off...too many times to admit. I sympathize. But now I don't have to worry about that any more  :)

We're currently looking for a manager of "cooperative marketing" at my company. You'd basically work with our clients to help market their business through direct mail and newspaper ads.  I'll PM you with an email address so we can get you the job description.

Actually, I just sent it to your listed email.  If it didn't get to you PM me with a good email address.

And if something doesn't pan out, you can always work for Krispy Kremes until something does pan out. But seriously, the job market is looking up and I hope you job hunting goes better than mine has over the last several months. Just remind yourself that by losing you old job, you are free to find a better job.

Thanks for all the help and support! I am looking at a lot of things right now.

The biggest problem being that the sales and marketing job market has been flooded with the WORK AT HOME, SET YOUR OWN HOURS crap.

Just means I have to search a little harder for the really good jobs.

Anyway!! Again, thanks!! I will probably be laying really low for at least one week.

Anyway! Sorry, no big deals on hottubs, I have to go take my certifications though, it will take some time a few months.
