We are awaiting the induction of our newest recruit!
The latest is that if he/she (in true superhero fashion the new arrival is keeping every detail about its identity secret) does not show up on her/his own, then he/she will be coming whether she/he likes it or not on August 29th.
Oh, and if anyone else wants to join this fantastic guerilla army feel free to enlist! (We can't give you anything above sergeant, though. To be commissioned is a rather exclusive process.)
-
What kind of army are we talking about here? Is it cacky and big guns or swords and bright uniforms? It makes a difference.
-
What is the army's policy on pillaging? Â What about civillian casualties?
What about eating the hearts of your dead enemies as a meal, followed by a nice dessert of salt-water taffy made of their tears?
Again, it makes a difference.

I spent some time trying to figure out what you were talking about until I realized you meant khaki
-
Sigh.
I was going to say 'camouflage' but I'm not sure how to spell that either.
-
you were a lot closer on that than you were with "cacky"
-
I'd enlist, but so far, most armies have silly policies
about grenade-carrying penguins coming in with me. ::)
Viva le revolution! ;D
-
Uniforms? You can wear whatever you fancy. Our latest recruit is reporting for duty naked.
And pillaging, and dead hearts, and whatnot...hmmm. All I can say is we're terribly guerilla. In many senses of the word, but not any that come off as lacking in coolness and savoir-faire.
But you all should know better than to ask such silly questions. If I told you any more, I'd have to have you all fashionably assassinated, of course.
-
Your army has gorillas?!
Hmm--gun-toting gorillas vs. ninja monkeys. That would make an interesting battle...
-
Personally it'd make a slaughter. We should all know by now the power that SE controls in his ninja monkeys.
-
Kije and I have ... well, it's not an "alliance" per se, but let's call it an understanding. This hypothetical battle will not be taking place.
-
I'm just going to congratulate Kije on his new recruit here, since it seems appropriate. I hope your new recruit has all the skills and qualifications you desire.
-
Congrats Kije.
I guess this is a good enough excuse to miss gaming tomorrow. ;)
-
Yeah, congrats. Another brought into the fold.
-
So it's official: on Tuesday, August 29th at 1:43 our newest recruit reported for duty. Vice Admiral Kije (aka Sofia Ondine Hatfield) weighed in at 9 lbs. 10 oz. The officer in charge of induction, Supreme Commander Kije (aka Katie) is in fine condition as well. Thanks all for your congratulations!

Ondine
You won
All she left behind was an unloaded gun
And my face
Is blushing
For all the things she's done
You couldn't miss that girl
'Cause here she comes
Ondine
Back up
Run over my body with your pickup truck
And finish
What you started
Because I'm done
I searched the whole room over
To find these words
She said
I had the strangest dream
I dreamed I killed you again
Don't make me kill you again
'Cause I couldn't bear to kill you again
Ondine
Was here
You couldn't even take away a souvenir
Of what's left
Of that swinger
She used to call me that
I searched the whole room over
To find these words
She said
I had the strangest dream
I dreamed I killed you again
Don't make me kill you again
'Cause I couldn't bear to kill you
I had the strangest dream
I dreamed I killed you again
Don't make me kill you again
'Cause I couldn't bear to kill you again

Congrats Nate. Bravo Katie!

The Army is growing yet again! We have a new recruit coming into the fold, due to begin active service on Thanksgiving Day this year. Ours is a covert, low-profile organization and so all details about the inductee are being kept under wraps. Supreme Commander Kije (aka my wife) is sick with anticipation (literally) and we're trying to get Vice Admiral Kije (my daughter) ready for not being the only junior officer. I am interested to see how supervising two junior officers stacks up to only one. Well, anyways...

yays!
-
Congratulations! Hurray!
-
Congratulations on the new addition to the ranks :)
-
You're always such a copycat. Congrats, though.
-
Many congratulations to the newest mini-TWGer!
