A UNITED Nations report has labelled Scotland the most violent country in the developed world, with people three times more likely to be assaulted than in America.

Gosh those poor people.  Someone should tell them that all they need to do is ban guns and all that violent crime will go away.

What puzzles me is that they took the official figures, then threw them out the window and used... a phone poll instead?

If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

What puzzles me is that restriction of weapons is almost always an answer to this kind of thing. Do people not realize that broken glass cuts as well as a knife? If you take away one type of weapon, people will find another.

The theory that was tossed around here recently was that people were having domestic disputes and reached for the nearest thing to attack - and those 'things' tend to be foot long kitchen knives.

On IRC we put this in our topic as, 'UK doctors say knives are too sharp'.

The trouble with frying pan muggers is that when you manage to escape, you usually end up in a fire.
