Sorry about the lack of updates. Day job stuff has taken over for a bit. I'm gonna post an announcement tonight, but I'm not sure when the next update will be up.
News:
"Magic is what makes fantasy fantastic," someone says, "you can't apply rules to them or else it loses wonder!" I respond, "Sure, but if you want to write them you will certainly want to know how they work." Writing is all about execution, and I find applying some basic laws of physics to magic systems make them more understandable and realistic. Here, I'm going to outline my basic method for developing a magic system.

Thanks for all the feedback. I may bring back a nifty flash menu if I get some time. If you like the comic please tell your friends and post on your blogs/livejournals etc. Look for the update on Sunday.

It's done in flash. The menu was going to be even cooler, I was starting to have the rocks sort of hover on the mousover. But I decided that:
a) some people really don't have the plugin for whatever stupid reason, and
b) I wanted the whole thing to be a little simpler and cleaner

Thanks for all the feedback. Cavemonster updates every Sunday gay-run-teed, with random goodies during the week every now and then.

Here's a great example of a comic that does a hell of a lot with very simple art. It knows it audience, and it's obvious he's having fun with it.
