The long-awaited rewrite is frickin' done! Hallelujah.
-
Yay! Email it to me. I promise follow-through. Really. And if EUOL is reading this, of COURSE I'm reading Alcatraz! Um, I'll get to that tomorrow!
Why can't you guys send me audio versions of your books, dang it? Then I could assemble shelves or drive to work and listen to them at the same time. :D
-
I'll be happy to read it, as I told you at role-playing. EUOL has mentioned this book enough times that I'm practically giddy with anticipation. (Well, not really giddy--I guess slightly more than lethargic would be more accurate ;)).
-
Yay! Fire me off a copy, Fell. I'd like to see what has changed.
-
Trogdor demands ritual supplication, and only either burnination or novelation will suffice.
-
I vote burnination. Oo oo! Pick me!
-
Hey Fell, I'll read it for yah.
-
Fell, I sent you a PM with my email so you can send me a copy. Looking forward to reading it. Yay for vampires!
-
I shall now be sending out copies. I'm especially interested in Entropy's opinion, since the entire book takes place in a country he is 3 billion times more familiar with than I am.
-
Hey, I've been to London for six weeks! That's practically the same as living there your whole life.
[/end of inane argument]
-
Reading it. Enjoying it. Making comments chapter by chapter.
Oh, and stacer, if you read this, I haven't forgotten about Black Bull. I often like to read things twice--I'm about to start the second read through and make comments on it.
-
That's what I told myself I'd do on Mistborn...yeah right...*sigh*
Fell, I hope the next editor who looks at it is more...*cough*...punctual...
-
Stacer, don't waste your time with this -- I've read a little, and it's an uninspired waste of time. I mean, really: how many more gothic-horror literati comedies does this world need?
-
This from a man who churns out cheap Mormon potboilers.
-
I prefer the term "Inspirational Erotica".
-
I didn't know they sold that at Deseret Book...
They must hide it from me.
-
Okay, time's up. You've all had a couple of weeks to read it, so now you should be done and give me feedback. Pencils down, and hand in your reports.

the uh... first chapter was a good setup.
-
Uh...
-
Actually the answer was B. You failed.
-
Sorry for the delay. I've been out of town having too much fun... I'll send it Fri or Sat.
-
As referenced in the Happy Things thread: Fell! You're leaving me hanging here! I only had up to p. 222 (or something). I don't have the end!
-
What? This must not be! I'll send you the full version post haste. Must have gotten screwed up somehow.
-
Actually Stacer, I think that's how it's supposed to end. It symbolic of the uncertainty of life.
-
Kind of like Monty Python and the Holy Grail?
Sorry, Fell. It's been done.
-
The manuscript is in the mail and off to WotC. I should have a book contract by this time next week, and a multi-million dollar movie deal a few days after that.
Thanks to everyone who read and gave comments. I think the book is much stronger now.
-
...and May 2006 rolls around...
-
Shoot. And I finally got Word. Well, I'll send my comments anyway--and I did give you them in person, so maybe you remembered them as you did the revision? ???
That's awesome to have it out, though. I hope it finds an audience--I really liked it. :)
-
Umm...Wizards hasn't actually bought the book Chimera they're just actually reading it.
Personally I'm waiting for the Blacker Darkness D20 supplement.
-
They're actually going to base the entire 2006 block of Magic expansions around Blacker Darkness. That's more than 600 cards that literally do nothing.
-
Fell will be happy to know I wasted time wisely today and finally finished BD. Yay! I have a bit of feedback--catch me on MSN sometime.
