At least it didn't drop significantly.

My agent is expecting some drop offs these next few weeks.  He seems to think that this is the time that the book will be going off the new release shelves and into the general stacks.  But, we can hope the numbers will keep up, eh?

Exact weekly numbers through 6/26

43      +/- percent
424      886.05%
454      7.08%
413      -9.03%
407      -1.45%
288      -29.24%
297      3.13%
234      -21.21%
236      0.85%
217      -8.05%

Total: 3013

Well, it has been dropping. Does he mean some kind of huge percentage drop?

If there's been any pattern yet, it's that a largeish drop week has been followed by a flat week. The numbers aren't dropping like chart-topping hollywood blockbusters that drop 40-50% every week, that's for sure.

(And I remembered an hour before you poked me.  ;) It just took a while for J. to get back to me.)

I it makes anyone feel better. My nephew has been recommending the book to his middle-school friends and my sister has been recocommending it to random strangers she meets during her weekly run to Barnes and Nobles.

EUOL just signed all the copies at the B&N in Idaho Falls. And my mom bought two for her brother and sister and talked it up to her entire side of the family (which, admitedly, is only 50 people, and that includes a lot of kids). But they all acted impressed--both with the fact that EUOL is a published author and that he was willing to ride a jetski with me (my nickname is "Wild Woman" on the jetskiis  :D).

I was invited to go jetskiing this weekend, but I was too lazy to drive the hour down to Tacoma by myself. There were like 50 people at it, so I'm sure I wasn't missed, but I should have gone. Yet.... it was the first weekend since I moved into Seattle that I've both been at home and had my stuff, and after all that travel the weekend before, it was nice to just sleep in and watch the Monk marathon on USA (OCD can be hilarious when done by Tony Shaloub :D).

I love Monk. I would have liked to see the Marathon.

I am having a lazy day today. Too much traveling--I'm exhausted.

Cross your fingers and hope that the book tour gives it a significant boost. EUOL and Dave leave in the middle of August to sweep the West Coast.

Are they coming to Reno or the Northwest?

If not, will Brandon be in Utah the week of August 14?

He told me, but I can't remember exactly. I think he leaves on August 13--if not that, soon after.
