I'm no idiot, and I've tried for ages to be a good member. But when people have a go at me just for posting, it strikes me that I'm not the problem, it's the people who hate all newbies that are the problem.

Agreed. I feel things have been getting a little too hostile around here lately. I have no problem with getting on people's cases who ignore the rules, are whiny, and invite the attacks. But for those new people that are trying to be a good member we should cut some slack, Bot has been here for almost 2 months and has filled in fine. I'm not going to say you can't make fun of him, or tease him, but lets stop with the "he's been here less time then me so he must be stupid" argument.

I agree, and would like to comment that I think the "Pokemon" thread was a combination of irritating posts and overreaction. I certainly agree with Spriggan's decision to lock the thread.

Oh, I think of you as an idiot newbie too, but you wern't who I was talking about. The ones I were talking about were the ones who were so idiotic you seemed like Davinchi. Unlike them, you may actually one day turn into a productive member and can actually string a sentance together - both promising traits.

Can we just let this thread die already? Yes, I know I'm contributing to it by adding this thread, but we're on page 3 of what was a stupid post to begin with, and I'm sick of thinking there's something to read in Video Games, only to find out it's more noob/smiley discussion. Maybe I'm just grumpy because I have a headache, but I've been thinking this for a while.
And that's all I have to say about that.
