Does the answer have to do with amnesia or memory repression?

The body is that of someone who committed suicide.  The suicider mailed a suicide note to the woman, but she didn't get it because she was traveling.

It's a cabin in the woods, it's a human body, there was no correspondence between the dead person and the woman.  The woman didn't have amnesia.  As soon as she found out, she called the sheriff.

No, that isn't the answer, that is a response to everyone who had questions about the riddle.

The woman had a webcam of her cabin's back yard, but she hadn't bothered to look at it for a while.

One of her cabin's neighbors called and said, "Hey, did you know there's a dead body in your back yard?"

The woman works testing surveillance satellites for the National Reconaissance Office, and she spotted the body when she checked her cabin's back yard.

The cabin has no phone and no cellular service, but it is close to a state line.  After not having been to the cabin in two months, the woman arrives and sees the body in the back yard.  She leaves and drives across the state line to where she can call the sheriff.

Web cam...  That's interesting, but no.

Hint.  She was on vacation up to the cabin.  What do you sometimes do 1-2 months after a vacation.

Although this answer might stupefy those of the 'younger' generation.

I'd find it very hard to believe that she developed her vacation photos and realized she'd taken a picture of a body in her back yard that she hadn't noticed at the time.

well, we didn't get an answer to the last riddle, but ok on the next riddle.  firemeboy has to tell us the answer because we aren't getting it.

EJS got it.  And it's quite plausible, when you think about it.  She was taking a picture of her husband, and focusing on that.  When you are taking a picture of somebody you are looking at them.  Are they smiling, are they in focus.

When she got the pictures back, she noticed a hand sticking out of some leaves in the background.  She called the sheriff to report the body, and the rest is history.

As I mentioned, I shamelessly stole the riddle from the Car Talk guys.  It was this weeks puzzle.
