Title: Hogshead no more
Post by: Entsuropi on January 16, 2003, 07:34:13 PM
this is probably of no interest, but Hogshead publishing (http://www.hogshead.demon.co.uk) have stopped. they are selling off all stock, and closing shop.
Nobilis, their latest game that ive heard is very good, is going to its Canadian publisher. cant remember who said publisher is tho.
The rights toWarhammer Fantasy Roleplay is reverting to Games Workshop (http://www.gamesworkshop.com). speculation in the various fan sites is that GW will either liscence it out to another publisher or publish it itself, especially if it can be linked into Warhammer Online (http://www.warhammeronline.com/default.asp). interestingly enough, the WHRP fans arnt very happy about this, as they are all fans of what the warhammer world looked like 15 years ago, and dont like games workshops latest takes on it.

If you want to know the reasons for the company closing, i found a Interview with James Wallis (http://www.ogrecave.com/interviews/jameswallis2.shtml), the man who started the company in the first place. interesting read.
