Title: Croc Hunter not so good with kids?
Post by: 42 on January 03, 2004, 12:23:39 AM
So I'm wondering what people think of Steve Erwin, the most punned animal show host ever, think about him bringing his one-month old kid with him to feed a crocodile.

At first I was quite appalled that he would endager his baby like that. However, he is a professional croc handler and he is insane. Not to mention, it would be pure evolutionary justice if the croc ate him and his offspring. I'm sure that would earned a Darwin Award.

I was wondering when someone would bring this up. AOL has two different "news flash" things about him. Same articles, just different pictures.

I don't really see anything wrong with it. So he pulled a Micheal Jackson, at least it wasn't off a tall building. And its not like he was trying to hide it from anyone. Sure he could of asked someone to  hold it for him, but then when would it get to see a real crocodile?

The man is an idiot, and probably ADD. That said, I have no problem with his success, since he poars his money into conversation efforts.

Just remember, though, he may be Australian, but he is in no way representative of us. In fact, he's probably the polar opposite of most of us.

When I was a kid, I always wanted to live in Australia when I grew up. It was The Man from Snowy River that did it for me, being the horsy farm girl that I was.

Horsey Farm girls? We have plenty of them in the rural areas of the country.

I know a guy in Sydney whose a Sticker. His job is to wlak along the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and knock the Koalas off it with a stick. If you've ever wondered why there's no Koalas on the bridge, it's because he's been doing his job.

lol, thats the greatest job ever. Does he just knock them into the water? And are koalas good swimmers then?

Oh man, this is great good stuff.

As a matter of fact, Koalas are good swimmers (no joke) despite not drinking any water. But we don't much care if they drown anyway. The less Koalas there are, the higher the export price will go.

Well since it's a minimum wage job (My friend is a Dole Bludger, doing it cash in hand, and selling some Koalas to tourists on the side) you could probably get a part time job doing it pretty easily. The Koalas are persistant, so it's a twenty-four hour job, generally done by about 20 people in six shifts.

A guy I knew from Tazmania said his favorite thing to do on weekends was to go out in the country in his old, beat up car, then drive really fast toward a pack of Wallabies and throw open the car door as he zoomed past one.

one that says "Hit me, I'm a Koala."
Also, it needs to have postage paid on it.
