Title: New critical Windows patch
Post by: Spriggan on September 11, 2003, 01:21:34 AM
Microsoft has identified three new vulnerabilities in Windows that could enable an attack similar to the MSBlast worm.  As before it's for win 2000 and up, if you've got 98 or ealier then don't worry.  This was just announced today so it spankn' new.

Actually, it appears that it affects NT4 and up. ME is specifically listed as not affected. The patch site and windows update are naturally slow (painfully slow) right now, but still operative.

From what I saw, it seems like they're just showing people how to apply the XP brand firewall.

There is a new windows update. There should be a link to where you can get the patch in the article as well.
