I'm not sure if this is a new species of geek like this article claims or merely a result of the economic demand for more multi-disciplinary individuals.

I get employed because I know computers and I know writing/publishing. the computer science "Degree" is not a requirement as far as I'm concerned. Experience counts for a heckuva lot more in the practical world
