Speaking of reviews, the Allansia review was great!  Ah, the memories.  The only point I want to bring up is that there is indeed a fourth AFF book entitled Out of the Pit, which is a monster book containing all of the creatures ever seen in Fighting Fantasy books, fleshed out and expanded with lots of little details.

Next retro day my group has, we might just play us some AFF.  All hail the return of Crannoch and Zed!

Thanks. Yeah, Out of the Pit gets a review next, followed by Titan. I said "Final" because Out of the Pit isn't really part of the series as such, but an optional extra. It doesn't follow the same format as the other books, but can be used in addition to them. Same with Titan. I'll write it tomorrow probably, depends on how I feel as to studying for next weeks tests.

By golly, you're right!  I just glanced at my books and Out of the Pit actually doesn't have the Advanced Fighting Fantasy logo on it.  Still a cool lil' book, though.

New to this forum so hopefully this post is in the correct section.

I play a MUD called Tempus which can be found at www.tempusmud.com or for mudclients, the ip addy is 206.41.250.2 port 2020

I have been playing on Tempus for nearly 5 years now and to be honest, I am stunned at how low a pbase there is when this mud has some truly fantastic features. My contention is that Tempus is suffering from such a low pbase mainly due to an alphabetic disadvantage, case in point, Aardwolf Mud.
Aardwolf Mud is a fine mud in it's own right that has an average pbase of somewhere around 350 at any given time. By contrast, Tempus has an average pbase of 20-25 at any given time. I have played both muds extensively (being hopeful of becoming King of all time wasters someday), and the only reason I can point to of the differing pbase totals is because Aardwolf is at the beginning of the Mud Listings, so many people go there instead fo shopping around.
Anyway, I request that someone on your staff who deals with MUD's please come and try out Tempus and submit a review be it good or bad.
Thanks so much my fellow time wasters!

well this should have been in video games, freestuff, or rants section.  I think the only person here who still regulary plays MUDs is Promethous.  So I'll bring it to his attention, can't promise any thing though (like a review actualy being done).
