Stuck in my head
« on: February 09, 2006, 10:42:27 AM »
So, I've been debating wether this should go here, or in music, but I think here is better.

For the last week and a half I've had a song stuck in my head.

Well two really.

An R&B song and its Rock and Roll cover.

It pops in everytime I think about TWG... and if we could afford the rights I'd use it in the podcast im working on (too few hours in the day).

Piqued your interest yet.

Its the song "Time is on my side" by Irma Thomas, covered more famously by the Rolling Stones.

Its so in the spirit of TWG its not funny.

Despite Lambchop's best efforts, I have not either. And when I do sing it, it's primarily to annoy my children.

I've had Kanye West's Gold Digger running through my head since last night. I think I may have to rent Ray, just so I can hear Jaime Fox sing some more.

Random bits of several different Kelly Clarkson songs haunt my subconscious. When I'm not thinking of anything in particular I find myself singing one of them. And I haven't even listened to the radio for weeks! Shows how hypnotic those pop songs can be.

Did I say I like her? No. I said her songs were stuck in my head. Those are very different things.

But actually, I don't mind her music. So you can still ignore me.

You can ignore me too.  I mean she actually won an award for this album, and it's a decent album.  For pop that means that the songs are memorable and really catchy and you can't stop singing them.  She's had what - FIVE singles from this one album?  That's insane.

That was weird, I could have sworn I heard something.... ;)
I was about to type that that I hadn't heard any of her music and didn't have a problem with her, but then I remembered that song with the annoying "since you've been gone" line and now it's stuck in my head.

My problem is more with reality-esque shows and pop music in general. But that's something for another forum.

*Archon assassinates Kelly Clarkson, so that there can be no debate over the quality of her music. If she had good music, she obviously wouldn't have been assassinated. Archon looks rather pleased with himself that he has ended the argument*
