Post by: The Holy Saint, Grand High Poobah, Master of Monkeys, Ehlers on May 08, 2003, 05:55:35 PM: I just saw the press conference with that Ralston guy on CNN. Probably most of you heard about him and didn't bother to tell me, but this is the first I heard of it.

The guy's arm was trapped under a boulder for FIVE DAYS!!!!!!! And then he cut it off to free himself, WITH A POCKET KNIFE!!!!!!!!!!

What I want to know, is what did he eat for five days (parts of the arm, perhaps?) and how the heck did he have the strength to cut off his OWN ARM with a POCKET KNIFE!

This is just too freaky....

First, the pocketknife he had was apparently some freebie he got when he bought his flashlight: i.e. not very good quality. Due to this he had a lot of trouble sawing through his arm and bones. So he BROKE HIS RADIUS AND ULNA first before he cut through.

Talk about amazing...
