Title: Battlefront 2 Xbox link.
Post by: FirstMateJack on March 29, 2006, 06:04:13 PM
Can you link mulitple Xbox's together with a cat5 to play Battlefront 2?

I have Battlefront 2 for PS2, So I don't know if it can be done with Xbox. Figured this is a great place to ask.

That depends, what exactly are cat5's? If you mean system linking through a hub then yes, though it may only be four, I'm not sure. On Live though it's as many as will fit in the map. Something like two ten player teams last I heard, it might even be more than that.

Category 5 network cabling. Unshielded Twisted Pair design. Your standard network patch cable.

Hmmm. Ok, I know it can support 32 online.
I am sure you can link the X's together, I just wanted to make sure, I have to borrow them from people to put this party together, I don't want to waste time if I don't have too.

If anyone knows, a simple yes would be great!

The previous post was correct, you can link them via a router/hub, but you're limited to only a few boxes.

So long as I can get 8, I am happy, two 4 player teams.
thanks!

It's actualy 32 players, as many Xboxes as you want.  32 boxes with one player each is perfectly OK.

If you are having problems getting enough people together for a game, check out www.teamxlink.co.uk and download Kai.  It allows you to play system link games over the internet.  My brother and I play Splinter Cell and Halo from 3000 miles away on a 'system link' game.

Awesome! We'll get the people together, it is just a matter of the hookup. Thanks!
