Well masters of Newbie Slapdown, how does it feel to be the stuff of nightmares?

I'm grumpy because my host's server is down again (while he switches colleges again), which means no icons for Ari and me.

I'm grumpy because "yummy" is a disgusting word. It sounds like a pile of puke.

I am about to explode because Northwest Airlines considers flights to Canada "domestic." This means that I only get 50lbs per checked luggage rather than the 70lbs allowed to "international" flight passengers. Since I am going to bring the 2x70lbs anyway, they will charge me $50 for something they should already be giving me.

Canada is really pretty much domestic.  I mean, it may be a different country, or say that it is, but since the distance is really far I can see how they can deem it domestic.  The idea is they are using the same plane models to get you to Canada as they would use to get me to California, which means that it should only have so much luggage in it, and if they gave you 70lbs for Canada, they may as well give you the 70lbs anywhere that plane could fly you to.

And if you don't buy that, airlines suck.

And yet Its an international flight from here to Eire, despite the fact that by american standards it's hardly half a states width :)

I understand, but I'm not entirely convinced. United Airlines gives you the 70 even though they also consider Canada to be domestic.

Airlines do suck, though. And security sucks even more. Every time I go from school to home, a series of terrible things happen regarding security.

I'm grumpy becuase I'm in a class with two other people.  Two of us want to change the meeting time to something more convenient, but the third is refusing to agree because, oh boo hoo, she's already arranged her car pool.  Well tough!  If we don't change the meeting time, I might have to quit my job (and its a good one, an excellent first move in my City Planning career).

Hugs, JadeKnight.

I'm quite unhappy because I've walked around campus for 4 hours today and have to do it all again tomorrow. And I'm acidic and sleeeeeepy even though it's only 7pm where I used to be. And my family isn't home even though they said they'd call right about now, and my phone card is running out of juice so it's now for emergencies only.
