Conduit Thread

Who's going?  Anyone carpooling?  I have a friend who wants to go up, and is willing to help pay gas.

Kije, I will be up for Conduit, which means I probably won't be driving back to Orem before going to writing group.

That's because I'm still trying to figure it out. I'll get back to you soon.

Okay, not "soon" but at least "eventually." The con starts at 10 and the games portion runs until 12, but I have no intention of being there that long if I can help it--and certainly not all in one piece. We can carpool up there if you like, say around 9 at my place. I'm working on a schedule of games for the day, which I will run past you later this evening.

nine seams fine.  I wasn't planning on staying until midnight unless we had too, I was thinking 7-8pm would be the latest for me.

We still need time to set up all our battle droids too, that's not a picture oppertunity that I want to miss.

I haven't planned to, but it's a good idea. When is your panel?

TWG Conduit pictures are up.

I kinda forgot to take Dechiper pictures, there's only one, but I got plenty of Wizards.  Fell if you want an admin account, so you can add and edit things plus get a feel on how this works for TWG 4.0, let me know.

I like how Fell's shirt matched with the drapes over the tables. Very apropiately attuned Fell.

Con report article: http://www.timewastersguide.com/view.php?id=1077

I think one of the big reasons Spriggy doesn't like cons are freaky weirdos who attend them: the 70-year old women dressed as Romulans, the innumerable passersby wearing fairy wings, and the two brightly-dressed young pseudo-goths who made us privy to their discussion of the perils of lesbian dating. Apparently, when you lend your girlfriend something you never get it back.

I think it's cool TWG did a game room...

...but what I want to hear about is the rest of the con, EUOL stuff especially.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

I went up with EUOL on Friday and attended all the panels he presented on.  He'll have to speak for himself, but I can say that he represented himself well.  On one panel, he was up there with Dave Wolverton, L.E. Modesit, and Shannon Hale talking about heroic flaws.  It was a fantastic panel.  At his reading, he had about six or seven people come.  He read the first chapter of Elantris.  I don't know about the rest of the days--I wasn't there.
