Entorpy's right: We don't mind. Although, I quote MC Chris:

"Plaid Pyjama bottoms, or plaid pleated skirts, everything you girls wear makes me stir at the dirt, if I had balls I flirt with y'all in study hall, do the geek talk until your eyes rill into the bakc of your skull..."

It fluctuates...

School is definately one place where girls and guys should not be wearing sexually charged clothing. I went to catholic school and I know... every single girl in my school wore her skirt way too high... thats why my wife is my wife now. I saw her first in high school...  ;)

the skirt thing made being in school difficult. Pretty soon your focusing on it rather than your work.

Same school, same reaction,  However,  in a bizzar sequence of events,  My attraction to a particular vixen-like brunette actress, (Who I first noticed due to the hang of her skirt) Began an extended sequence of events that led to me meeting my wife..... YEARS LATER

But I wonder if I would not have been more focused on my school work, if there was less feminin flirtation to focus on......
(in those years I was refered to by many as "the youngest dirty old man".... I was a letch)

Ok.  I agree that clothing of the nature we are discussing is definitely distracting.  However, what I would really like to know is:

"Why would a self-proclaimed 'femi-nazi,' who proclaims to be empowered and is trying to be seen as more than just a woman fighting her way into a, typically, man's profession, turn around, and the very next day call attention to the female parts of her anatomy in the very forum she previously stated she was trying to have not be regarded as a woman but as an 'eqaul?'"

Now I know this adds a bit of a twist to the discussion, but I wanted to work up to this.  So, there you go.  Any input?

because she wants you to want what she wants people to want, and only at the moment she wants it. Thus, if she wants you to look at her body, she has to make it available, but if she doesn't want you to look at her body, you better read her mind and look away.

Well, so where's the line for you as a guy?  Where does it stop being "wow that's hot she's barely dressed" and become "ew"?[/quote]

It becomes ew when - she actually isnt very attractive.
or is just straight up known as a slut.

I agree stacer, it's kind of depressing.  But you can't tell me you haven't had this discussion  before with the same results.

And I find it sad, Fuzzy, that you are so quick to resort to bigotry, judging people by their looks, and declaring that anyone that dresses in a fashion you disapprove of is scum.

So much for that then, huh?

If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

I hope it's not too late for me to get into the discussion, but I had always figured that if women dress that way, they want to be looked and ogled at.  I am only happy to oblige by looking at the goods they want to flaunt.  I do agree, however, that it is very inappropriate to be wearing revealing clothes in school.  I'm there to study and learn, and seeing women wearing skimpy clothes is very distracting.  But... I guess I don't really mind the scenery either...

Oh well, I guess I'm not much help in this subject  8).

As far as I can tell only one person brought up the idea of your only a slut if your ugly... so how does that translate to all of us?

yeah, everyone needs to calm down before they get riled up over this.

Men admit to being torn between an enjoyable biological response and perceived peronality based on the choices a person makes to wear clothes. There's nothing wrong with that.

I admit the biological response tends to dominate much of my immediate reaction. however, I chose to marry someone who does NOT dress that way. Ever (well,... except when we're alone...). so I like to think that in the long run, my opinion that the clothes aren't really appropriate is justified. I'm a bit of a hypoocrite in that I still look a lot, but everyone has something like that.

i do think that, whatever the person wearing revealing clothes is thinking, they MUST be aware that revealing clothing provokes an involuntary biological response in men, and even if they mean to refrain from oggling, it may take many of them a bit to regain control. Essentially, leering looks are what she's asking for dressing like that. It may not be fair, but it's the way it is.
